I went there for the Ado concert and loved how close and easily accessible the concert hall was from the Hilton. Next the rooms was great and the staff friendly and helpful. I'll likely stay here again next time I come to Yokohama. Lastly, Yokohama is a great ward and area to be in. it's a little far from Tokyo but if you're are down to stay in Yokohama then you'll have a blast.

I visited Tokyo (Shibuya) this time for business (my company has a facility nearby). Very urban area, so many opportunities to try different restaurants, bars, and shopping. Not the easiest area to walk around due to the train station and major roads, both of which are under construction (and have been for several years). But if you're looking for a cosmopolitan area to check out, Shibuya will keep you busy for a few days at least!

I suggest only spending one day here, walk the shopping street , drop into the tourist info/museum, reach the temple, walk through to park, circle around pond and return back to station area. I picked up an eel bento for 3000 yen, was enjoyable to someone that dislikes seafood.

The open air museum is simply a heavyweight coming out of the left field. I didn't expect to find that level and quantity of art in a small village in the Japanese alps, no matter how famous a tourist location it is. It is also extremely easy to get there by bus from most villages in the area. The lake, the Kuzuryū shrine Hongū is more than worth a visit and the water torii is simply iconic. If you are into hiking (I am) there are numerous mountain trails in the close vicinity, but beware: climbing on mount Hakone proper is illegal and dangerous as it is an active volcano and toxic exalations can at times be present. Stick to the observation deck and ropeway if you really want to see Mt. Fuji from a vantage point, or just climb one of the surrounding peaks.

The trip was for Disney so we didnt go to other places really. We ate at Red Lobster, I was disappointed because they didnt have Crab Legs! They had a weak shrimp cocktail with uncleaned shrimp and i had to ask them to remove the shrimp shell. We went to a mall and that was ok, tho getting from ground level to the main floor we had to carry our wagon up stairs, there was no escalator from street to first floor, a minor setback. Navigating to the mall calls for walking through a few buildings zig zagging, again a small setback. oh yea and its cold. Overall the trip was a 8/10 next time if we get a slightly bigger hotell it will be 9/10!

Chiba is an amazing city and because Star Wars Celebration 2025 was held there this year, I had to come and visit. The city is only about an hour away from Tokyo and going there from Chiba was easy to do. Locally speaking, Chiba offers many different places to eat (some of the best donuts I've ever had came from a donut shop called Uni Donuts close to the hotel I stayed at) and a cool Anime hobby store.

Good facilities, but limited airport service. The shuttle schedule did not match our flight and the passenger limitation of 10, first come first serve is not a standard I expect from an international hotel serving the airport.

Kamakura essentially is a part of the loop between Ofuna and Enoshima. People who come to Kamakura either do so for the shrines/temples OR to stay as a starting point to go to Enoshima. We were the latter. Kamakura gives an impression of a slow paced lifestyle with many interesting and unique shops selling a great variety of things. Kamakura itself has a shopping street which can be quite touristy. Otherwise, it's actually a bustling down with people always on the move. Enoden is definitely a must-take ride. Followed by Shonan Monorail which is an "inverted" track type of monorail. Enoshima by itself can be an entire day trip of shopping, visiting shrines and special locations but require quite a bit of leg strength and stamina. Recommend going for Escar for people who can't climb well. Iwaya Caves is good, but the trip back can be challenging. Enoshima Sea Candle is a must; though at times, the outdoor observatory can be closed and the indoor observatory doesn't have any seats - making the visit very short-lived quickly. Best if you arrange a boat ride out via a route near Iwaya Caves. The shopping streets on the mainland is just as interesting with a lot of unique items and food choices. (that's the street between Enoshima causeway and Enoshima Enoden station)

Local and quiet feel and opportunity to experience daily life. Only 45min from Tokyo and an easy stop on the way to Hakone and Odawara. The athletics park and nearby mountain park were 30min by bus from the city centre and great for nature and relaxing with friends/kids.
