I could write a lot about what we liked in Zanzibella, first the facilities, what a beautiful place with proper quality and details in everything, the room, the bathroom, the restaurant, the swimming pool, everything was beautiful and efficient. Then the staff, well done to whoever is training the people, everyone is super friendly, smiling and happy to help. After few days, people get to know you and would remember or recommend things that would be relevant to you. Special mention for Chaimae, one of the manager, I'd like to thank the owner who hired her, she was so nice, cheerful, fun and accommodating, it's because of people like her that an establishment would work. If you're reading this Chaimae, thanks again, you are great!! During our stay we had 2 beautiful events, one of them is Masai show, this was impressive and interesting. We really loved our time here, we'll certainly be back to Zanzibella if we're around.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at African Bungalows in Nungwi, Zanzibar. This cozy gem exceeded all my expectations. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going above and beyond to make sure guests feel at home. The food is absolutely delicious, every meal was a treat! The hotel is nestled in a beautiful garden that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with a lovely pool. And the hotel is just a one minute walk to the stunning beach. The rooms are clean, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay and the bed was very comfortable, I had the best sleep in a long time. Another standout feature is the generator so you never have to worry about power interruptions. If you’re looking for a perfect spot for relaxation with excellent food and service in Zanzibar, I highly recommend African Bungalows. I’ll definitely come back!

The hotel located in remote area, so it made our travel so unique and peaceful! The owner Muhammed was super friendly and helpful. We bought few tours in the Hotel and it was nice experience. Also souvenirs on the beach much cheaper than in Kendwa. Food in restaurant is so delicious! Room was big and spacious- 2 types of towels were provided. Hotel is very cozy and you feel like home.

    A very good hotel, with extremely kind staff, and the hosts are very welcoming and give you the impression that they are your friends. We came here with toxic food infection from another hotel, and the managers were very nice and attentive to make us feel as good as possible. The hotel is extremely close to The Rock, a 5 minute walk to the beach and can be seen directly from the beach. It's worth getting there at least once to take a picture, but the food is better at the hotel restaurant and it's not expensive. We stayed here for 4 days, during which we tried almost every food they have on the menu and I can say that it is very tasty (they also have an extremely good pizza). The bungalow we stayed in was very clean, just like in the pictures. A small suggestion, to bring adapters for UK socket with you if you are traveling from Europe. The place is very quiet, with a very beautiful beach and without much seaweed. Also, in the area there are not so many Maasai people or people who will approach you with excursions. The hotel offers you different packages with excursions that can be taken directly from them without having to resort to all kinds of locals who may not offer you the same safety or trust. They can also call you a taxi to get to different places on the island, as well as transfer from/to the airport with one of the best drivers, Mustafa. It is a hotel that I recommend with confidence, a hotel that I definitely want to come back to, where you can relax and enjoy the Zanzibar vibe that it offers you, combining the modern with what it offers you the island.

    The service at this hotel is the best I have experienced. Khadija and Salim took great (and warm) care of us, following up on everything related to us and our stay. Nicole took care of any concerns with sincerity. Front desk Ali and the others, all so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Others, like Tunu, Abu Bakr, Washa and so many others that unfortunately would be impossible to mention all their names, made us feel happy, special and made our experience extremely enjoyable. Special mention to the impressive daily atmosphere and food of Kilimanjaro restaurant. Lovely hotel, on a beautiful beach.

    I love the clear water, and all the adventures of water sports that comes with it. The only problem is you can never take a peaceful walk without the interruption of the local dwellers trying to sell you something. It’s not so irritating as I understand they are trying to make earn a living too

    Zanzibar is beautiful and a very safe city. They have an organized transport system for tourists . I travelled to Nungwi beach and it was really a beautiful place. It was not crowded and the water was very clear and the water sports activities and so many . There are very many eateries all around . I would highly recommend Zanzibar.

Extremely friendly and courteous.Always smiling and greeting at every opportunity.A special thanks goes to Fadhila who made us and especially my daughter feel very special and welcome.The Manager was also very friendly and polite.Overall I would rate my stay as exceptional.

Boat trips, beach activities, village strolls, getting to know the culture of local people who are very knowlegeable about the natural agriculture and extreemly kind and nice.     Matemwe is ideal for relaxing and spending quality time with friends and family. Matemwe is near Mnemba island 🏝️ for swimming with dolphins 🐬 . We rode bicycles 🚲 around the village and the place felt very safe. There are few alternative places for lunch or dinner. Not too far from stone town.

    The sea and beach with super soft and white sand are absolutely fabulous and relatively clean. I got bitten by sand fleas on my legs because I spend a lot of time in the sea and walked barefoot. There is a lot of informal trade on the beach by locals trying to sell something. Maybe even more so if you are a woman walking alone.

We stayed 25 days at Kikoi Boutique Resort and arranged all excursions on Zanzibar as well as a Safari with Sir Alex at Kikoi for reasonable prices and with good service . Their Cook Mister Mahaveer Sing is a real Master Chef and we enjoyed every meal he prepared us . Compliments to all the people working there. You made our stay unfogettable.
