Where to begin? From the delightful reception staff of this exceptional establishment, with their warm welcome, outstanding service, friendly and attentive hospitality (special mentions although I know I must have missed some names: Javier, Ramón, Manuel, and Belen), to the beautiful room with the stylish and elegant decor and a very equipped bathroom with the best rain shower I have ever used - I also booked a room with a view and small balcony overlooking the gorgeous port so this was an added advantage and despite it overlooking the port, the soundproofing was so efficient I could hardly hear any noise from the outside - to the cleaning crew who alway left the room immaculately clean and smelling so fresh (also a special shout-out to Johana, Luz, Estrellé, and Vauesa) - to the location of the hotel, a mere two minutes away from the port promenade and then further down to Muelle Uno, and a short distance to the historic Center and main shopping street (Calle Larios). I stayed at Room Mate Valeria for a whole month and each week, when I came back to my hotel room, I would find a little something waiting for me as a nice gesture from the hotel staff, it was so cute. The hotel’s motto is “mi casa es su casa” (my home is your home) and they follow that motto to the letter. A didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so I can’t comment on that, but it is definitely a hotel you would love to stay at as your home away from home! The property is beautiful inside and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Our room was located in one of the towers, it was really nice.

The Mariposa hotel is simply fantastic. We were allowed to leave our luggage early while our rooms were being allocated. Absolutely beautiful room, fantastic bed and furniture. A super clean bathroom with the best shower and toiletries is standard . The hotel is absolutely spotless and a credit to the house team . Fantastic room service. Also the hotel has a very special roof terrace with lovely beds and complimentary towels. A very good value hotel and we’re all planning on coming back soon. The hotel fulfilled our special request before our arrival. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. The amenities in the hotel (24/7 coffee, tea, sweets, cookies) were amazing. The breakfast was so fresh and delicious with a generous amount of time. The bed was so wonderfully comfortable and the jacuzzi in the room was a really special treat for us.
