While the hotel rooms were basic enough (no kettle but we bought one!) , they were spotless and cleaned daily. The food in the buffet was very good with plenty of choices. Anyone complaining about the buffet in reviews has to be comparing it with a normal restaurant, which would be way more expensive - the buffet is excellent value. We swapped dinner for lunch and ate out a few evenings; we really appreciated that option being available! The pool was lovely and seemed to have sufficient sunbeds for all. Plenty of shops and restaurants outside the hotel. The beach is a 5-minute walk away, and the train station is close by too.

Location is nice but that's about it. Overall very disappointing, shouldn't have the 4th star... Asked if I could check out 30 min later - on a Sunday! - because I had a long drive ahead and the old guy at the front desk said it's not possible!!! Ridiculous!

    Good beaches and sea. But there are too many hotels in Santa Susana and it is super loud in the evening (live music in every bar/hotel). Not many restaurants with good food (we found only 2 that we liked). Even less restaurants with local cuisine.

    Santa Susana is something like an "all-hotels" place.

    Santa Susana is something like an "all-hotels" place. There is a residential area, which is in the hills above, and very nice also, but tourists are mostly situated in one of many great hotels near the sea. The beach is beautiful and spacious, water is clean. It is, however, somewhat windy and there can be waves in the afternoon, but we liked it a lot. You can put your towel wherever you want, but you can also rent a sun bed, there are bars and restaurants (and hotels, of course) along the coast where you can easily find them. Prices are really OK, everything is affordable (I understand that this is individually applicable, but compared to some other destinations, it is not expensive). We stayed in a hotel with half-board, the food was fabulous with lots of choices. All in all, it is a peaceful place, although crowded with people, there is really no hustle and bustle. Lots of shops with souvenirs, there are also Carefour and Lidl for grocery shopping (you can find some of the great Spanish wines there for reasonable prices). It also has McDonald`s and Burger King. Everything you might need while on vacation. It is close to the great city of Barcelona (cca 60 km), so you can go visit.

    A beautiful warm place for your first acquaintance with Spain, Costa Brava, Catalonia. You can move around the city on foot. But the easiest way to get here from Girona or Barcelona is by high-speed train. It's fast and convenient, not expensive. There are many restaurants and cafes everywhere, any establishments where you can have a tasty and quick meal.

    Beautiful place to stay, lots of hotels, shops & places to eat. Clean and tidy. Lots of green areas & children play area. Situated on the beach. I felt very safe during my stay there. Surprised it's not promoted more as a tourist resort. Close to Girona Airport. Good transport network- train, buses & taxi. But to be honest we walked everywhere. Would definitely recommend it as a place to holiday.

    The bed was quite hard pillows also hard but sofa bed where my daughter was sleeping was very comfortable soft and relaxing!Air con was not very refreshing probably turned down temperature wise!Swiming pool could have been little bit warmer but overall nice stay with some improvements stated above will bring excellence!Also the price little bit high as of next year we found hotel nearby half board 10 nights for £1100 hotel with slides on the beach nearby town of pineda de mar.

    The design the decor it’s also very spacious even though it is a popular hotel it had lots of room by the 7 pools and in restaurants. The buffet breakfast was the most impressive I have ever seen. We had a pool suite which was beautifully designed and in 2 floors so like a mini villa - just wonderful. 2 bathrooms as well and the best shower I have ever put my head under!

    It was really amazing. It was clean the staff was always nice to us. We had a kitchen with everything we needed to cook in it. Very close to the beach. The beach was really pretty, clean and it wasn’t crowded. Had a lot of stores next to it and right under the hotel was a supermarket so it was great.
