FAQs about hotels in Manchester

The Capital of the North

With an industrial past and a modern outlook, the complex fabric of Manchester is interlaced with interesting museums, English pubs and shopping centres.

Dash straight into the luxurious Selfridges and Triangle departments stores before checking out the old-English charm of the Shambles.

Manchester wouldn’t be the same without its 2 famous football clubs and fans can go wild at either of the Old Trafford or City of Manchester Stadiums. Music fans will adore the many shows performed at the Manchester Arena, the largest of its type in Europe, and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

The cultural foundations of this predominantly red-brick city are on display at the Manchester Museum and the People’s History Museum. If art is you preference, the extensive pre-Raphaelite collection at the Manchester Art Gallery is a sight to behold.

Whether you’re flying into Manchester International Airport for business or partying in one of the 500 bars in city, Booking.com’s hotels and apartments can match your accommodation needs.

Manchester city is okay for a day, but the beauty lies beyond with the tours to the peak and Lake District. Trains leaving heading south and onto wales are a nightmare , big gaps , couple of steps . On a Sunday have the size 3 carriages had to stand from Ludlow to Manchester . Train staff won’t help with cases

Visited the museum for free and attended a comedy show in the evening. Only spent a short time in Manchester but there were plenty of shops and facilities nearby. Everything was in walking distance and there are trams and buses running through the city. Food delivery is fast and with low delivery fees and well worth the trip out!

This hotel gets a really bad rep when really it is wonderful. I’ve never had any issues with this place. The staff are always wonderful. They’ll chat to you all day and check you in nice and quick. Location perfect. Right bang in Manchester City centre. I had booked for a gig in the city and needed somewhere central to Piccadilly for when I went to wales the day after. Room had no faults whatsoever. The windowless room had air con and tea and coffee in ect. Just basic things that you’ll need. Great because I was out for most of it.

Kevin, the Manager was very helpful and friendly with a cheery disposition. We had some great conversation with him regarding our shared passion for travel. Piccadilli Central Hotel has a nice personal feel which comes as a refreshing change when compared with the more corporate establishments that abound in Manchester City centre. You are really treated as a genuine guest here. Rooms are well decorated and offer outstanding value for money compared to other establishments nearby. Thank you, Kevin from Janet and Roy.

The hotel receptionist at the time (I think he was called Adam) was absolutely amazing. He gave us some amazing advice on how best to get to Manchester city centre and which part of the Christmas market to aim for. The spa was amazing, and just what we needed for the short break. The room was small, but catered to our needs as the bed was extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here.
