I love this city.
I love this city. Magnificent architecture, every photo you take can be used as a desktop wallpaper. Great atmosphere. A wide range of attractions, from cultural to party. You have to keep your eyes peeled so you don't get hit by a bike :). I love coming back here and will definitely come back again.

Compared with the rest of Holland parts of Amsterdam are dirty and 'down at heel'. People were friendly and some sections quite pleasant. The van Gogh museum is excellent and well worth a visit. I preferred places like, Leiden, Gouda and Amersfurt especially.

We were very lucky with the weather it was very warm.
We were very lucky with the weather it was very warm. I could not believe the number of cyclists who do not always follow the road rules. There are lots of things to see and do and just walking round is very pleasant. A canal trip is also worth doing. We went to see Dutch band Haevn at the Paradiso which is a great venue.

I was there for a concert in Ziggo Dome, one night in Hostelle. So that I did not have to travel home after the concert. Had trouble finding the hostel, it is in the shopping mall, pedestrian area, opposite the burger place with the yellow M. Mall is a bit of a maze. Hostelle perfect, just like advertised. Definitely recommend for girls/women. And very handy for Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam Arena, Afas live, and shopping, eating near by. As well as train, underground, busses to go into town.PhilippaNetherlands

The city centre is just around 20/30min away counting the time to reach the metro and the trip. The hotel is efficient and business oriented but still very confortable if you want to visit Amsterdam expecially if you have a car and don't want to spend too much of parking. They have a convenient underground parking space (22.5€/night) that is cheaper than leaving the car out on the street (4.50€/h from 9-19).
