We were very lucky with the weather it was very warm. I could not believe the number of cyclists who do not always follow the road rules. There are lots of things to see and do and just walking round is very pleasant. A canal trip is also worth doing. We went to see Dutch band Haevn at the Paradiso which is a great venue.

I was there for a concert in Ziggo Dome, one night in Hostelle. So that I did not have to travel home after the concert. Had trouble finding the hostel, it is in the shopping mall, pedestrian area, opposite the burger place with the yellow M. Mall is a bit of a maze. Hostelle perfect, just like advertised. Definitely recommend for girls/women. And very handy for Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam Arena, Afas live, and shopping, eating near by. As well as train, underground, busses to go into town.

This hotel was right in the heart of Amsterdam city centre. With a 10 min walk to the central station, within 5 min walk to the red light district and many other tourist attractions it was a great location. The bed was very comfy and had a good view out onto the main street. The hotel had in the lobby a small fridge with a range of drinks for a fee including beer and also was attached to an Italian restaurant. The breakfast was very good too to grab some snacks before heading out.

The hotel location was ideal for Amsterdam and region travel (10/15 minutes to get to the city centre). Even though the hotel was located by the train station, it was quiet. The bed was comfortable for a good night sleep after visiting various locations. The bedroom and the bathroom were good size rooms. We were pleased with the premises cleanness. Location is perfect, in the canal district, everything within walkable distance and so many boutique shops nearby. Hotel lounge/bar is very beautiful and so are the rooms. There is also a super cute cat in the hotel lobby to greet guests! I guess she’s the manager? I rubbed her belly everyday. :) I have stayed at quite a few hotels in Amsterdam over the years, from $300/night to $1500/night places. This is arguably THE best hotel for VALUE.

Although the hotel is a bit far from the city centre, I see this as a plus - the area is very quiet, and the public transportation is excellent. There's a tram stop right in front of the hotel, and a nearby train station offers regional trains that take you to the main railway station in just 10 minutes. Also, the room size was a pleasant surprise - it's rare to find a 22 m² room in Amsterdam!
