The cabin was spacious, comfortable and looked better than in the website pictures. The location was very convenient and quiet. We even saw deer come by the cabin a few times. We enjoyed our stay there very much

First thing to note is that this resort is slowly being renovated. The common areas and the restaurant are new, and as of May 2024, a handful of rooms are renovated. Your experience will differ significantly if you are in a new vs old room.
This place has mixed reviews so I was worried going into it. I was first put into an old room and it was pretty underwhelming. The layout is odd and the fixtures and furniture are pretty worn and dated. There was loud construction happening in the room immediately next door, so we asked to move. We were offered the chance to pay a small upgrade charge to move into a "modern" room. The difference was night and day. The new room was well laid out (e.g., good access to outlets and storage), very comfortable, looked really nice, and the furniture and fixtures were all new and modern. The catch is it's hard to know whether you're getting a new or old room -- they are listed separately on different sites and I'm not sure that Booking has them delineated.
As a side note, their restaurant reopened the week we arrived after a very long time of being closed. The new restaurant was genuinely excellent. We ended up eating there for two dinners and a breakfast during our week-long trip, and we were impressed with basically everything we had. It's a bit pricey now, however.
Overall, it's my impression that this used to be just an "ok" place that is slowly trying to turn itself into an upscale resort. So far they seem to be doing that very well.

Newly remodeled very nicely. The young man at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Loved the hand soap and bath products. Loved the books in the room as well as having a cooler available for us in our room. That was very handy

Fantastic hotel, for our kids it was as much a highlight of our trip as the national park. Clean, quiet and spacious rooms. Amazing and genuinely friendly desk staff no matter who was up there. Solid continental breakfast. The amenities are a highlight the kids couldn't get enough of: warm, deep pool and good size sauna, play grounds, fire pits, bbqs, tetherball, bocce ball, games, shuffle board, etc.!! They provide great free coffee and popcorn all day and even free bikes of all sizes (unlike other places that charge twice as much then try to nickel and dime you for stuff like bikes. There's even a small lake next door to walk and bike around and elk families wandering through the property. The most memorable part though for us and our son was the evenings around the fire listening to and talking with Cowboy Rodger. With his guitar and voice he could be playing with the pros on tour, but chooses to share them with those who just enjoy them here. He has incredible musical knowledge, his life stories are fascinating, and has a great way with kids which includes imparting valuable life lessons. We knew that this place was a special little gem but it really hit us when we got to our next regular old, boring, sad Days Inn hotel in Colorado Springs and wanted to immediately turn around and come back. Thanks for the great week here, hope the place starts the same for when we come back!

Estes Park is beautiful and convenient to Rocky Mountain National Park, however, I would not recommend visiting anytime soon. There is so much street construction going on and it is so congested with traffic, it is very hard to get around.

There was a lot of construction going on in downtown Estes Park. The trip through the park was lovely until the weekend when multiple multiple multiple tourists showed up causing vehicle backups thru the park. We went earlier in the week and it was a wonderful trip because we could go and come as we wished without undue backups. Parts of the park were closed because of snow. The downtown of Estes Park was very busy and the construction hindered things. We ate at Mama Rose restaurant and it was delicious! I took a horseback ride thru the mountains and it was beyond fantastic. Nice horse, good guide!

My son and I were in Estes Park in February and the weather...
My son and I were in Estes Park in February and the weather was sunny, yet cold and quite windy. There was an almost 20 degree Farenheit temperature difference when coming from Denver. The drive from Denver to Estes Park is an awesome experience in itself. From Lyon, you start to drive up on a windy road surrounded by mountains on both sides. It goes from 5000ft to 7500ft. The drive is very beautiful and once you climbed up Rt. 36, you start to descend just a bit and then, you come around a curve and there lays, in a valley, Estes Park with a beautiful lake, surrounded by snow tipped mountains. Estes Park is a small town with a main street, lots of unique stores, a unique looking movie theater, and many restaurants. There is a Safeway and Dollar Tree and I don't think that there are any other grocery stores there. Estes Park is also very close to the entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park and the home of the famous "Stanley" Hotel, which was used in the movie "The Shining". We also drove around in the surrounding area and found a few great roads that lead to parks and trails. I have truly enjoyed my 4 day stay in Estes Park and hope to be back soon.
Wildwood Inn was the perfect place for our best friends reunion! The location in the mountains is beautiful - the first thing we heard when we arrived was a bull elk bugling (we visited during the rut)! Outstanding views, the property is quiet, the room was spacious and clean, the Tempurpedic beds were so comfortable and it was a 3 minute drive down to the town of Estes Park and 5 to 10 minutes to the Beaver Meadows entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park! We had a fabulous time and hope to visit again in the future :)
The location is unbeatable!! The Inn is just down the road from Rocky Mountain National Park and about a 5-10 minute drive of all the restaurants and shopping in Estes Park. It's surrounded by beautiful mountains and located right on the Fall River. It has a kitschy, roadside inn feeling. Our room had a stunning view of the river. There was a fun laser light/projection show on the river at night. The patio bar was a hidden gem with great drinks, a serene setting, Cornhole boards, and live music! Would definitely stay again
We stayed in 10A which was absolutely wonderful. We were immediately impressed with the layout, decor, and cleanliness. We also appreciated the clear guest information/directions on the welcome paper, the cute map of the entire property, and the binder full of helpful info. (My wife thinks the owner must have been a teacher- she can spot her own kind.) Peace and comfort would best describe this lovely little place. If we ever visit Estes Park again, we will definitely return here.
This wonderful little Inn has met our expectations or exceeded them every time we've stayed here. The location is superb, right beside the river and just outside the main downtown area of Estes Park. It's quiet and beautiful. We even saw three elk right outside the hotel one night after dinner as dusk. The owner, Mark, was friendly and easy to work with. We will definitely stay here again.
Highly recommend Trailborn for the Rocky Mountain experience with a boutique hotel feel nestled in this amazing location close to Estes Park! The market with tasty refreshments was amazing and the outdoor patio and fire pit added great ambiance to our stay :). This hotel is dog-friendly with walkability to Estes Park and the hotel is fully renovated.
Fantastic location to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park, and the surroundings were very pretty. Staff were friendly, condo was spacious and clean, with TV and board games included which is great when travelling with friends. Ample amenities and facilities within the room to prepare food before and after a day of hiking.
Super-friendly managers, adorable dog in the hotel lobby, free cookies, all around character. Really cozy room with an electric fireplace. Mountain stream running right by the place. Very quiet in the winter, almost nobody around, no traffic noise. Big hot tub out front. Great coffee in the room. Would gladly stay again.
We loved the stunning setting with the river running by, the outdoor space with hot tub, and the very comfortable and spacious interior. We also valued being a 6 mins drive from the Rocky Mountain Park Gate and even less from Estes Park town centre with its’s nice shops and restaurants, and handy Safeway Superstore close by!
The location is magical, we saw an elk in front of our room , the river is very nice , it is very quiet . Beds are confortable, shower soaps shampoo are great . We were given many towels and even bathrobe. The reception is great and people friendly with very good advice on Estes park restaurants and places to visit .
The elk we got to encounter was the best we have had since we have been visiting the last 11 years. That you can access your room from inside the hotel and on the outside through your own personal door. Ample space for parking. Was able to take our dogs.
The pool is super warm NOT freezing cold like most pools. Very pleased with the pool. Also the game room was fabulously fun and many hotels don't have stuff like that. This is a super economical property that is highly recommended.
The location was perfect for experiencing Estes Park and also traveling into Rocky Mountain National Park. The staff was friendly, helpful and engaging. One of the coolest historical hotels in the area.
The hotel is in a great location. Close enough to town but away from the crowds. Super cleans cabins with added details like coffee/filters, stocked kitchen.
