It was inexpensive without compromising on anything important. They had a reasonable hot breakfast for along day ahead. The location was quiet (our building was in the back) despite a highway nearby. They were conveniently located to arrive to CLT at 5 pm and drive towards the Great Smoky Mountains NP in the morning.
They had really great tasting coffee in the morning. Well above what I'd expect from a typical motel.
I had a little car trouble which forced me to be an hour late for my checkout. They were kind enough to forgive it.

Beautiful location. Nice and clean room and facility.
Asheville is my kind of city. Easy to navigate. Plenty of downtown parking lots. Small enough to not feel overwhelmed. Friendly. Quirky with a artsy feel to it. Good dining options. In a beautiful setting, no wonder George Vanderbilt built the Biltmore Estate here and what a great tour that was. AMAZING! Also close to the Grove Park Inn where lunch of dinner on the Sunset Terrace is a treat. Never felt unsafe and traffic wasn't terrible. My kind of city - a really nice, small -big city.

We were not there to see alot of the city although we were driven through the busy, lively area where people live, eat and enjoy. Was crowded but very nice. We also hiked Linville Falls which is beautiful and worth seeing.

Biltmore is spectacular and well worthwhile.
Biltmore is spectacular and well worthwhile. The old historic buildings are so interesting to look at. It's nice to see the architecture preserved. The River Arts districts are a definite plus. There are many quirky, unusual and interesting shops. The pace is relaxed and people are friendly.

The Audubon Bird Sanctuary was just right for us Californians. We enjoyed the Botanic Garden and the Arboreum. We spent some time in downtown, The Blue Ridge Parkway near the city but skipped the overpriced Biltmore Estate. It is different but Weird might be a bit of a stretch compared to Austin or Portland. We missed most of the Arts district murals. Enjoyed the Cat Cafe and the Malaprop's Bookstore and the Woolworth's . We ate at the top rated 5 Points Restaurant. Great for atmosphere and food,

People we met throughout the city were friendly and welcoming. They seemed ready to accommodate tourists with open arms. We recommend taking a walking tour to get a sense of the city and its history. Biltmore was fabulous-even in the rain. The staff at Biltmore went out of their way to resolve an unexpected issue we encountered. Asheville deserves its reputation as a "foodie town." We didn't allocate enough time to see and do all we wanted.

There are a lot of weird, nasty looking people around, comprised of a variety of dirty homeless people, hippies, and sexual deviants. They generally keep to themselves, however, and we always felt safe exploring Asheville's many fine attrations.
the hotel provides a basket breakfast, yogurt, fruit, croissant. We didnt receive our the first night but the second night it came as promised. The location couldn't be better lots of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. the rooms are well equipped and well thought out. they provide a free shuttle service to nearby areas. The hotel seems new, common areas are bright. welcoming, and well decorated. Staff is very responsive and arranged for a loaner microwave, very much appreciated.
The location is ideal for us and our reasons for being in downtown Asheville, without being over priced. The breakfast is improving and is already better than the standard free breakfast offered at other hotels. Having an Ingles and several restaurant choices nearby is a big plus. The rooms are roomy and suitably equipped for our needs. Service personnel were very attentive to our needs and quick to offer or provide the necessary help. The beds and pillows were comfy.
There was a wide range of variety for breakfast, which is great because my partner is a vegetarian. The atmosphere where breakfast was located was beautiful as well. I loved the simplicity of my room. It was refined and simple. I wanted to go hiking Sunday morning so the hotel easily made it accessible to do that by working with me during checkout time. And lastly, I loved how close it was to downtown Asheville without being in the traffic.
Large room with comfortable beds. Adequate furnishings, including a nice work desk. Adequate electrical outlets, which is unusual in a hotel this old. Good sound insulation between rooms. The mini fridge actually kept items cold. Free coffee in the office was nice. The location is ideal for our purposes, with an easy route between the hotel and downtown. The 50 mile room rental radius ensured that no transients were at the hotel.
The hotel is set a little off the main downtown area so not terrible traffic around the hotel and easy to get into the city. The room was clean and the staff was lovely. When we checked in there was just the one guy behind the desk but he helped us check-in and then helped to find a pack n play for our baby. Guy's a champ and I wish I remembered his name.
We loved the place. It's well situated, well maintained, and the staff is nice and friendly. We were on streak of 4 hotels in 4 nights, so this one was the best, among other things in terms of breakfast quality. Room was clean. The town itself definitely worth visiting, as well as Biltmore estate.
The location is near the interstate, near Biltmore Village, and a straight shot to downtown Asheville. It was easy for us out-of-towners to get around. Breakfast was more than the usual continental breakfast fare. Room was not overly expansive, but clean and neat.
Great stay at Country Inn & Suites Asheville River Arts District - convenient location to downtown, and it's festivities. The bedding was comfortable, and the staff there are professional and super friendly! I would definitely recommend this hotel*
The location was nice for downtown access at a cheap price. It also wasn’t too far from the blue ridge. It was pretty quiet even though it was along the freeway. The beds were really comfy. We do wish there was nightside table lamps.
the location is perfect! half way between Biltmore Village and downtown Asheville. lots of food options near by. the hotel is extremely clean as was the room. we had no complaints, would definitely stay here again.
The front desk staff and bar staff were very friendly. The location is great, right in the heart of downtown. The hotel (and Asheville in general) seemed extremely dog friendly. The beds were very comfortable.
The staff is always nice, the location is perfect, only a few minutes from downtown or any place you need to go. We always book this hotel when we travel to asheville, which is every 4-6 months.
Well it was perfect! It is really close to Asheville and you can easily go downtown!
There is also a grocery store near by!
We really loved the fireplace and the beds are really comfortable.
The hotel was located near downtown and was easy to and from all the attractions in Asheville. We definitely liked the size of our suite and the rooms were decent sized as well.
Location smack in the middle of downtown Asheville so you can walk everywhere! Built in a historic building, the hotel keeps some flair from the past business located inside.
