great customer service and complimentary champagne
Love Asheville but parking can be a nightmare. Lots to do and some wonderful places to eat. Craft beer capital of the world and, if you like beer this should already be in you radar. Our favorite restaurant is Bouchons. They have marvelous mussels and their trout was to die for. Any brewery you go to will be great but we like the Wedge for its funky atmosphere and great beer.

Asheville is my kind of city. Easy to navigate.
Asheville is my kind of city. Easy to navigate. Plenty of downtown parking lots. Small enough to not feel overwhelmed. Friendly. Quirky with a artsy feel to it. Good dining options. In a beautiful setting, no wonder George Vanderbilt built the Biltmore Estate here and what a great tour that was. AMAZING! Also close to the Grove Park Inn where lunch of dinner on the Sunset Terrace is a treat. Never felt unsafe and traffic wasn't terrible. My kind of city - a really nice, small -big city.

We were not there to see alot of the city although we were driven through the busy, lively area where people live, eat and enjoy. Was crowded but very nice. We also hiked Linville Falls which is beautiful and worth seeing.

Biltmore is spectacular and well worthwhile.
Biltmore is spectacular and well worthwhile. The old historic buildings are so interesting to look at. It's nice to see the architecture preserved. The River Arts districts are a definite plus. There are many quirky, unusual and interesting shops. The pace is relaxed and people are friendly.

The Audubon Bird Sanctuary was just right for us Californians. We enjoyed the Botanic Garden and the Arboreum. We spent some time in downtown, The Blue Ridge Parkway near the city but skipped the overpriced Biltmore Estate. It is different but Weird might be a bit of a stretch compared to Austin or Portland. We missed most of the Arts district murals. Enjoyed the Cat Cafe and the Malaprop's Bookstore and the Woolworth's . We ate at the top rated 5 Points Restaurant. Great for atmosphere and food,

People we met throughout the city were friendly and welcoming. They seemed ready to accommodate tourists with open arms. We recommend taking a walking tour to get a sense of the city and its history. Biltmore was fabulous-even in the rain. The staff at Biltmore went out of their way to resolve an unexpected issue we encountered. Asheville deserves its reputation as a "foodie town." We didn't allocate enough time to see and do all we wanted.
This is a great property that is conveniently located near the interstate as well as various restaurants and a grocery store. The hotel is a short drive from the downtown area and West Asheville. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. We had a slight issue with the shower and it was promptly repaired as soon as it was brought to the manager’s attention. As is the case at most Country Inn and Suites, the hot breakfast was outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Asheville!!
The property is in a fantastic location, super close to down town Asheville only about a 5-10 minute drive. The view is so pretty, and its super close to lots of restaurants, grocery stores, and activities. This hotel was one of the cheaper options for us, and the staff and the quality is even better than more expensive places we have stayed. The 2 people at the front desk on our first night were so incredibly kind and welcoming, it definitely set the tone for the rest of our trip :)
Location was great. Short walk to Downtown Asheville. Great Japanese style take-out place below the apartment for quick eats. Opposite the bus station if you need public transport to Biltmore, River Arts District or the Airport, but still a quiet location. Comfortable beds, clean apartment, all you need to be able to self cater during your stay. The coffee, tea and milk on arrival was very much appreciated after a long journey from the UK
Really nice and unique hotel. I cannot stress enough that the location is A+. It’s literally probably the best location for a hotel in Asheville. You’re right in the River Arts District. Easy drive to downtown, South Slope, West Asheville, etc. You can tell they’re putting a lot of effort into the customer experience. They also have a cool roof top bar. We felt like the price is very reasonable for everything that it offers.
Country Inn & Suites Asheville is a very nice hotel, not far from the city center. Great staff!
Although it might look a little outdated, the room (and also the rest of the hotel) was exceptionally clean!! Apparently the housekeeping staff really understands their job. Big compliment.
Also the staff at breakfast did their best to keep up with the inflow of guests.
All-in-all great price-quality ratio!
A refurbed motel but none the worse for it. Convenient to park car outside, and roomy room
with good fittings and shampoo etc.
Very good value compared to other hotels in Asheville.
Stayed 3 nights and would stay again. No food except ok breakfast but restaurants nearby.
We always stay here when we visit our family and friends in Asheville. The staff is always great and helpful, the amenities are always kept in shape, and the location is great for a quick trip downtown or a cheap Uber ride downtown too. Breakfast was great too.
It was just a mile away from downtown Asheville! the hotel had a lovely patio that we could sit under that was lit with lovely fairy lights! Brittany, the girl at the front desk was more than accommodating, especially when we decided to stay one more night!
The units are really good exceeding our expectations! Friendly staff, good breakfast everything clean. The manager, a young man is very polite and helpful!! We were thinking about to get one more day in Asheville just because of this hotel, honestly
Lovely hotel in a great location in downtown Asheville. Spacious, nice room. Beautiful Mountain View. Loved the daily social hour. Really nice bar and outdoor seating area with delicious cocktails! Close to lots of restaurants, bars and breweries.
The location was great - walkable to the heart of downtown Asheville. The rate was also good compared to other hotels in the area. The Downtown Inn does not have a lot of bells and whistles, but it was clean and the staff were friendly.
Location. 5min walk to downtown. Free parking. Bed fine. Breakfast was average. Toaster better than some more expensive hotels> I don't need a big breakfast, but I hate waiting 5min to toast a slice of bread while my food goes cold.
Location was as good as it gets for walking to anything downtown, Staff was more than accommodating and so very pleasant and thoughtful. And the hotel was just beautifully appointed. Loved the prompt valet service too.
Breakfast offered many options, all delicious. The hotel and room is very clean. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. Location made for easy access to downtown Asheville, the Biltmore, and breweries.
Good location and easy (contactless) check-in process. The location was an easy drive to downtown Asheville and breakfast was delivered, as ordered, the next morning.
A very comfortable hotel with a short walk to the centre of Asheville. Plenty of free parking which was a bonus for the location. Room was reasonable, light and airy
