The location is good and stuff was alright, but hotel itself is just awful. Old, dirty, smelly 🤮 the hallways looked like it has never been cleaned and the carpet in a room was so dirty I didn’t want to put my suitcase on it. I couldn’t wash my face in the bathroom, the countertop was all covered in something brown 🤮You can also hear everything!

Halifax is a very attractive port city with many old buildings and newer ones which are also well worth seeing. Great boat trip options, including the ferry to Dartmouth plus the highlight being the Harbor Hopper in Halifax which is an amphibious bus which starts off the tour on land and then goes into the sea. Much of historic interest is in Halifax, including the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic which has features on the Halifax explosion and the Titanic sinking. Also the citadel fort has much military history and great views. Halifax is a very walkable city which includes the pedways where you can walk between some shops and hotels without having to go outside to negotiate your way through the traffic on the way to somewhere e.g. the boardwalk and is also ideal if there is bad weather. The lovely boardwalk stretches almost 4 km in total and is brilliant for getting exercise and seeing the sights while walking down it, with plenty of free chairs to relax in along the way. Also there is a great central pub called The Split Crow and nice restaurants nearby in the central area.

I was there primarily to see "Mandy Patinkin in Concert", so I can't review Halifax for you, other than the driving experience... Street signage could be better in a lot of the downtown core... but yes to coming back to see more of it....

I've stayed in this city many times.
I've stayed in this city many times. Always lots to do no matter what your interests. It has a pretty vibrant night life, and I've always felt safe here, no matter where I walked. Lots of history, lots of night life, lots of dining options (Seafood is a MUST!!), lots of tours, museums, etc. I live in Ottawa, and Halifax easily compares in the museum and history aspects, and in some ways is even better. Go there. You won't be disappointed!!

Halifax is fantastic.
Halifax is fantastic. We travelled there 2 Septembers in a row (4 and 2 days respectively). if you stay downtown, you are able to walk to all the local attractions- we especially loved the boardwalk, citadel, and shopping downtown. Many many fabulous restaurants and museums. Also, fun to stay in Halifax proper and take excursions to local attractions( ie Peggy's Cove and Laurencetown beach) Prepare for rain - but this in no way detracts from having fun in this great city

If you only have a bit of time do the harbour hoppers tour.
If you only have a bit of time do the harbour hoppers tour. Lots of historical information about Halifax. A tour of the Citadel, important or historical sites and a brief trip into the bay to see the Halifax Harbour. Two thumbs up and very reasonably priced.
The staff were really great and location was excellent. Close proximity to everything in downtown Halifax. Enjoyed their choice of hot and cold breakfast. Comfortable bed. Stayed here from June 10-13, returned June 16th for a night before our flight on the 17th. We returned our car rental at 11am of June 16th, hotel check in was supposedly 3pm. I called the hotel to ask if we can leave our luggages at the lobby while waiting for check in. Advised to come and unexpectedly, we were checked in at 12noon. It was a big relief for us!
The location was close to Citadel and the waterfront. One bus from the airport takes you very close to the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had a good view of the Citadel. Halifax is a walkable city and we were close to everything we needed. Hotel room had a kitchen and a grocery store was about a 20 minute walk away. We didn't get a chance to visit the pool/gym on site, but we were happy to know it was available if we wanted to use it.
Right in downtown Halifax, about 2-3 blocks from the Harbour Boardwalk. Lots of pubs & restaurants nearby. Large room with a small couch and view of harbour. Coffee machine & fridge in room. Onsite restaurant & bar. Large closet. Food court/small mall accessible through lobby. Parking available for a fee. Staff went above and beyond, especially Leah, who helped me print my boarding passes when the Air Canada website was glitchy.
Great hotel if you are in town for things like ikea. Still easy access to Halifax but I would pick a downtown hotel if I wanted to see more of the Halifax side. Couldn’t really use the pool this time because it was full of children (so couldn’t really social distance) but that isn’t the hotels fault it just means I can’t review how it was. Room was nice and clean. No view but for a one night stage it was fine.
Good size 3 bedroom house in a convenient location. Near lakes and on the road to Peggy’s Cove, Airport, Dartmouth and Halifax’s shopping malls it is a convenient location for those with a car. There is a supermarket, liquor store and a handful of restaurants/fastfood close by. It’s about a 10-15 minute drive to Hydrostone or downtown Halifax.
House well suited for a family.
Great location to everything in downtown/historic waterfront area! We never used the car while we were there - walking distance to everything. The hotel is modern and stylish, with a great breakfast. The rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom had a rain shower head. There is a designated parking lot across the street from the hotel for your car.
Amazing beautiful hotel over looking the bridge great friendly staff and awesome location ten minute walk to the Alderberry ferry across to Halifax downtown.Pool was perfect temperature and work out room was fantastic, beds where extremely comfy wanted to take home the pillows.
Their breakfast was amazing! a lot of selections and nice view from the restaurant. Our room was a lake view and it was clean. And location was close to enough to downtown Halifax. Also they have an arcade in the hotel which was great. My family enjoyed playing their.
The hotel is located in the central area of Downtown Halifax which makes it very convenient when going exploring throughout the city. The room was spacious with very comfortable beds and suitable appliances for long term stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
Location of the Hotel is downtown, making most of the attractions such as the waterfront, Citadel Hill and excellent eating places within walkable distance. With access to own car at parking at $25+taxes/day, it was easy to explore distant locations too.
Great location. Right in downtown Halifax. Several great restaurants within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful. They had a cot for my little one. Price was cheaper than ither downtown hotels. Beds were comfortable.
This is a excellent place to stay while in Halifax, very convenient to all amenities in the downtown area. The food at the Chophouse Restaurant in the hotel is beyond excellent, especially the steaks.
This is a beautiful and very elegant hotel! the staff are truly amazing, the valet parking is the perfect option for busy downtown Halifax. We loved everything about our stay.
Perfect hotel when traveling with children. Lots of on-site activities and close to conviienence stores. The view is peaceful and hidden away from the bustle of downtown.
The bed in our room was very comfortable. The location is great, a 10 minute walk to downtown Halifax which has wonderful restaurants/bars, markets, and activities.
