Cute little town not too far from SF!

Cute little town not too far from SF! Plenty of beautiful beaches around and great food, specially if you like seafood and fish! Only down side is places close kinda early, so make sure you get food before they close!

In response to the response from the owner regarding the...

In response to the response from the owner regarding the closing of reception way earlier than posted. That is simply not true. It did not say that they'd be closing early and the receptionist never mentioned it. This is the only hotel on our 15 day cycling trip down the coast that insisted we lock out bikes in their storage. The receptionist was quite undriendly and uncommunicative. It is not a good feeling to arrive to such an unpleasant person.

Bodega Bay is a great place to visit.

Bodega Bay is a great place to visit. There is much wildlife to see and some really good food! We saw whales, seals, herons, cormorants etc. Visited most of the beaches up and down the coast and all are truly beautiful. The Birds Cafe is expensive but excellent- also Spuds chowder in Bodega Bay! Bakery in Duncan Mills is very, very good! Makes a very good beach get away focused on outdoor experiences! Be sure to go up to Bodega Head! Beautiful spot!

Visiting the areas where Alfred Hitchcock filmed The Birds movie was exciting, that is one of the main reasons I visited. The beaches close by are beautiful, the food fairly good. I enjoyed going to visit The Children's Bell Tower and the beautiful walking paths. The drive up to Shell Beach 7 miles away was spectacular, the walking paths well maintained and bathroom facilities made it easy to stay and explore.

Bodega Bay is very nice, the weather was just right.

Bodega Bay is very nice, the weather was just right. We visited the buildings from the movie, 'The Birds' (Potter's schoolhouse and the church), Went to the farmers market, stopped at the Salt Water Taffy Shop, drove through town, and went to the beach which was about 50 feet from where we were staying. Before we left we went whale watching only the waves were too high to out very far so we didn't get to see any whales but it was really beautiful and fun to be out on the sea.

We rewatched the movie The Birds before we went.

We rewatched the movie The Birds before we went. It was fun to find all the landmarks from the movie. They are all still there. The beaches are very nice. There is camping there and I'd like to try that with my kids. The fish and chips and the clam chowder are worth the trip on there own.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this stunning beach house. On a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the constant roar of the waves was calming and just what we needed. Great location just outside of Bodega Bay and an easy walk to the near by beach. Our time there was spent with family - lots of fun, and our hikes were great. The weather was perfect! Hosts were prompt in responses to questions.

We were very happy with our room, the view and the staff. Only disappointment were the covid restrictions still in place that booking.com didn’t inform us of. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the continental breakfast. Unfortunately we found out after we booked that it was not offered.
