Castle Rock deserves the high rating. It is an Inn style motel and perhaps that doesn’t come through clearly when booking. They have great attention to detail on cleanliness and service. It is evident that they have a nice positive work culture in the little team that manages and runs the place.

Very nice place to visit If I had more time I would probably be a little bit more adventurous but when it’s business, I pretty much stay close to the room or whenever I’m doing business I’m at the facility.

Lot's of sightseeing around Flagstaff...such as the Sunset Crater Volcano...pretty cool to see the lava streams. The Meteor crater is also worth exploring and lots more such as Grand Canyon. If you like hiking I'd recoommend to buy an annual NATIONAL PARK PASS for ony $80.-...considering Grand Canyon is $35.- entry and other parks are about $25.- you get your money back in a couple of days.

The location of the hotel was ok.
The location of the hotel was ok. Would I book it again, probably no. We’ve arrived a bit late and the dinner plus drinks didn’t meet the criteria of the charges. Therefore, sit by the fire pit, but bring your own food and drinks because the restaurant inside will absolutely rip you off. Hotel itself had pretty friendly and helpful staff.

On Interstate 40, high in the mountains, cool in summer, skying in winter, good college, all the amenities of a city. One the way to Grand Canyon, great place to stop and make sure you have everything you need.

Flagstaff is a nice place to visit, but being a university town, and the Snow Bowl attraction, causes it to be very expensive. Housing, lodging are comparatively over priced compared to out lying areas.

Unless I was just in a bad part due to where I needed to be...
Unless I was just in a bad part due to where I needed to be for my bus to Albuquerque, it’s basically an industrial town with not much to do. It’s like a massive truck stop. Definitely not worth visiting.
I needed a room for a night and I was with my dog. I got what I needed! They charged me 25$ pet fee for one night. My friend who stayed more nights with her pet was charged 25$ for each night. It would be nice to have a surcharge for the stay and not each single night since the the room is cleaned once only (unless damage is done, of course). The hotel is close to pretty much anything in Flagstaff. The train is right across the street, so if you do not like noise, then another place might be better.
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at, and I travel the world for work staying in high end hotels.
the bed was so comfortable, the shower was huge and great water pressure, I had a personal emergency and needed to check out late and the lady helped me no problem.
There is a grocery store and pharmacy just a few doors down you can walk to for supplies.
I would go back to flagstaff to stay here again.
I visit frequently in Flagstaff as I had a student at NAU. The Hotel is very close to the University and They allow pets with a fee which is amazing. The hotel is clean. It seems that the beds in our room had been replaced since our last stay? They seemed more comfortable than in recent stays. Thank you. The Patio rooms are great for travelers with Pets and disabled family members.
Our favorite part as a family was how professional the staff was at our welcome. It was a snowy icy evening, and the team was there helping us! We will choose this hotel again in the future as we travel through Flagstaff. The breakfast in the morning was completed right on time at 6am. We had a long day of travel when we woke up, and it was wonderful to have an included breakfast.
This hotel needs renovation done. Although the facilities inside the room we adequate, interiors are old.
Their breakfast includes pancakes and hard boiled eggs which is a plus. Eggs were store bought and cold, so warming them a bit would be good. This hotel is located in the central location of flagstaff and pretty close to restaurants and grocery stores.
This hotel was wonderful! The room was very spacious, with 2 queen beds, a sitting area and a full kitchen with a full size fridge, a dishwasher and a microwave. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect! It was close to all of the restaurants and shops in the center of Flagstaff. There was a good breakfast included.
Affordable place for a one night stopover post Grand Canyon backpacking trip. Would prefer to be in downtown flagstaff, but this was close to the drop-off point as well as our car rental pick up the next morning. The hot tub was nice after five days of backpacking as well. Comfy bed, hot shower, not noisy, slept like a baby.
We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who proved to be incredibly friendly and helpful. The room itself was exceptionally clean and tidy, providing us with a comfortable stay. There is no breakfast available, but it's not a problem as McDonald's and Starbucks are just a 30-second walk away from the hotel
I've stayed twice at this hotel because it's hard to beat price to value in the Flagstaff area. Being an older building sound transmission between rooms is not the same problem as with newer hotels - I appreciate a quiet nights' sleep. Additionally, the rooms are very comfortable, especially the beds.
I was in Flagstaff for Northern Arizona University’s graduation. It was an easy one mike walk to campus along a walk/bike trail. The rooms were big, comfortable and clean. The hotel is near the junction of Interstate 40/17. This hotel was a great value compared to other hotels in the area.
Check in is at 3pm
We severely under estimated our travel time and arrived at 11am in Flagstaff, went to the hotel and they let us check in early as our room was ready
Most places would not let you in early
Thank you so much it let us get a nap in before our big night
The location was great for us, as it is very close to central Flagstaff. The staff was very nice and they let us check in early. The room was a bit odd (it looked a bit like it had some other purpose before being converted into a room) but overall quite comfortable.
Fantastic customer service, the staff members were all very warm and welcoming and seemed genuinely invested in the quality of our experience. Absolutely loved the location in the heart of downtown Flagstaff. Can’t beat the charm of the hotel and its history.
Hotel was easy walking distance from the train and everything I wanted to do in Flagstaff. Staff were wonderful. Small breakfast available every morning. There was a very small workout area.
Lovely huge room, and amazing bathroom facilities with a great layout. One of the best hotel rooms we have stayed at. I also made good use of the outdoor hot tub. The food was very good.
Nice hotel in Flagstaff, good for families, with coffee machine, microwave and mini fridge. Smooth check in and check out procedures.
Bonus breakfast included.
Such a friendly reception, excellent location and wonderfully spacious and fantastically equipped room! If we ever go to Flagstaff again we will stay here!
