We absolutely loved the view…the swimming pool…the patio with comfortable pillows and sofas. The breakfasts were excellent. The service was fabulous! The room was lovely and the garden around the property was so well maintained.

The property is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The family who owns and operates the Borgo are so very kind and helpful. The rooms were so spacious and well equipped. They are also well decorated and homey. The property was very quiet and you feel like you have your own space. Also, the location is far enough out in the country that you feel like you are amongst the olive trees, but your are still a quick 5 minute drive to amenities like grocery and cafes. For those looking to stay, be aware that you will need to rent a car to best access Borgo Altobello and the surrounding Puglia countryside and the country roads can be narrow... But they are beautiful!

Fantastic location, very nice and clean appartment, responsive host. We would definitely have loved to stay a bit longer. The appartment is well equipped, clean and very central in the old center of the town. If we ever return to this part of Italy, we will definitely reach out to the host to rent this property again.

We recently spent three nights at a wonderful accommodation in Apulia, ideal for exploring enchanting towns like Alberobello, Martina Franca, and Locorotondo. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with great recommendations for beaches and restaurants. The pool was simply fantastic! Spacious enough for us to relax and enjoy, with a bar nearby where we could order refreshing drinks. Even though the daytime temperatures were high, our ground-floor accommodation was pleasant and cool, so we didn’t even need to use the air conditioning.

We stayed in the top of the Trulli. Small, but comfortable to just sleep in. The owner Lorenzo was friendly and helpful. The place was beautiful. You even have a little patio. At night it look beautiful with the lights on. A little hard to get to, need a GPS and you will be fine. Once you know the road it’s not bad.

The hotel and room were even better than the pictures!!! Rino is a superb host! We had a great time, and so did our 2 toddlers! The attention to detail is fantastic; large towels for when you come out of the shower, breakfast table allows you to start your day with a full tummy of delicious food, and the kids played for hours in the park, pool and trampoline. Rino was also very responsive to our needs and went the extra mile for us (ex : finding the key to lock the front door from the inside to ensure the safety of our young children). Thank you to Rino and to his family for a memorable trip !!

    Cisternino itself is a very lovely cittadina and ideally placed to visit all the towns around such as Ostuni, Ceglie M, Alberobello (although this is like Disneyland), Locorotondo, M. Franca, Monopoli and Putignano, or even Bari. It's also not far from Salento which I combined with this trip and did Lecce, Otranto, Oria, Gallipoli, Castro, S. Maria di Leuca. It is also only just over an hour to Matera which should not be missed and a unique town very much worth the time and kms. There are plenty of restaurants in Cisternino and for your morning coffee e brioche don't miss going to Vignola History or visit the panificio Vignola for a delicious freshly made panino and other treats that will put plenty of padding on the hips.

    Very good position to visit the region.

    Very good position to visit the region. Town is lovely and interesting. Nice for people watching and strolling. We went to the amazing Zoo Safari in Fasano - do it. Great caseificios - buy some very fresh local products.

    Lovely historic centre tucked away with bars and restaurants. The town sits on a hill with good views of the countryside and trulli’s! Good base for Alberobello, Polignano a mare, Monopoli, Ostuni etc

    We stayed just outside Cisternino and visited for an afternoon. Beautiful town, very clean with all the essentials. Lovely to wonder around as there were far less tourists then in nearby Ostuni. Would definitely recommending visiting if in region.

    Cisternino is a beautiful town with friendly people. My Italian is bad but I never had any problems being understood and everyone was very helpful. Go to a place once and they will remember you and your preferences. The food is delicious and plentiful. The town is clean and safe. One of the really nice things is you can go to the edge of town and farms and vineyards are a short walk. Have a drink or coffee in one of the cafes near the edge of town and enjoy the view.

    Cisternino quite rightly is one of the most beautiful town...

    Cisternino quite rightly is one of the most beautiful town of Italy. We so enjoyed meandering the warrens of beautiful cobbled streets surrounded by immaculate white buildings adorned with an assortment of vividly coloured flowers. The people were so friendly and food and general vibe was fantastic. A truly lovely place to stay and explore Puglia! Less touristy and packed than the neighbouring towns. We will be recommending to everyone we know .

    Alcova Mikael is an exceptionally comfortable place to stay. It's very clean, the kitchen is fantastic and the bed comfy. The terrace and garden offer lots of space to catch the sun and the pool is great for a hot day! Cisternino is only a 25m walk away but if you have a car, Alcova Mikael is the perfect place to base yourself in order to explore the Valle D'Itria. Antonio and Carmela are always available to help and are truly some of the warmest, most friendly people I've ever met!

    This was a memorable experience, so beautiful. Absolutely perfect. Spotlessly clean, beautiful towels too! Breakfast was outstanding. Totally recommend to anyone visiting the Trulli region of Puglia. Just stunning! Bonus too, the floatable cushions to use in the pool were amazing. Jacuzzi was huge but we didn’t use it.
