This hotel lives up to its name. It is truly grand. The location was excellent -- EXIT 8 and it even has its own access from the basement on the underground walkway to Sapporo station or Odori Park station. We took the JR Airport Rapid train from New Chitose Airport to Sapporo station which is huge. Keep walking undergound for 10 minutes and look for BIG LETTERS EIXT 8 on the right hand side. There will be another Exit 8 in small letters within 5 minutes walk -- DO NOT TAKE THIS.
Anyway, the hotel room I stayed in was the annex which was fine because it is directly in the same side as the breakfast buffet at the Northern Terrace Restaurant. And wow! The buffet was awesome! There were so many choices, even soft serve ice cream. The room was slightly larger than most Japanese hotels but I enjoyed the fast wifi and free cleaning every day and large bath tub. Of course the hotel was clean everywhere, even in the lobby toilets. Did I say there is a Starbucks inside this hotel yet? And AKARENGA building/government office is one block away.
Also the hotel is within 2 blocks of Odori Park and the Sapporo TV station tower -- walk out the Northern Terrace buffet restaurant and Starbucks Cafe on the ground floor and turn right.

The breakfast was really really good, and the location is super convenient. Nothing to dislike.
However the 4 toilets in Nakajima Park were shocking & appalling.
One of them is next to a Cafe with outdoor seatings & Children playground !!!
They smelled badly even last Mid- Nov'23.

Everything was close to everything, our hotel was like three minutes from the station. It was only 15 minutes to the mountain village where we saw cherry blossoms and a very nice zoo for 800 yen. It was a little bit cold and we were a few days late for the best cherry blossoms, but once we got settled it was a very nice 3 day visit. If you wanna eat good food for lunch you better do it before 2:00 PM because everything closes and then reopens at 5:00 PM. Nice restaurants we're closing by 8 PM. That was kind of strange.

I would love to go back and experience other seasons. Our timing was a little off because the ski parks are closed, it's not snowing, but there are no flowers/sakura yet. I would like to experience more.

A place to experience snow and a different architecture from the rest of Japan.
I was curious (still I am) about details in the history of this region that makes it quite different from other cities down south of Japan. The landscapes are excellent. People are polite and so kind towards foreigners/ non-japanese speakers. The overall impression made me really want to extend my stay there, or at least come back to revisit the place very soon.
I am not into skiing but this should be a great place for that activity, too.

Loved it !!!!!
Perfect for a short winter stay
Booked it because of the Queen concert and by chance it was the same week as the ice & snow festival
It was amazing!!!
I had a wonderful stay enjoying the city and the neighbourhood
Central area, great restaurants, cool atmosphere
Again : loved it 🥰
Excellent location, right next to Sapporo station, and close to city centre with restaurants. The rooms are not the most modern, but quite good overall and with very comfortable beds. The breakfast is a particular highlight of the hotel - there are two restaurants open for breakfast and the buffet downstairs has the largest selection I've ever come across in any hotel (a wide range of western, Japanese, Chinese and Korean foods, breads, pancakes, fruit etc). The staff are friendly and polite, the hotel was spotlessly clean.
Location is near Sapporo Station which is really good for me since I'm not keen on walking far like other stations in Odori or Susukino after my snowboarding session previously in Furano. Accessibility to convenience store is directly across the road or just 1 min walk out of the hotel on the left. Room is spacious for me and bath is also ok. I personally feel this is better than the Washington Hotel at Asahikawa that I stayed over 7 - 8 years ago with my mom.
The location was excellent. It is of walking distance to JR Sapporo station (about 20 minutes of walk underground) or you may take the subway and ride one station to Odori. The entrance at the back of the hotel is at the shopping street Tanukikouji and opposite to the hotel is a Donki store which operates 24 hours. A great hotel at snow festival as it is easily accessible to the snow festivals at Odori park and at Susukino.
The property was very convenient. There’s a bus from the airport that drops you off right in front of the hotel for a decent price. There’s a convenient store right across the street. There’s a complimentary shuttle for Sapporo.
The staff was great and the hotel was very clean and the room we had was really big.
There’s a happy hour from 4-6pm with free beer which is always great.
The location was pretty good.
i’ve seen a lot of comments about the hotel needing an update. However, everything was clean, functioned perfectly, and had a bit of retro charm. In addition, it is a very good value. staff was professional and courteous and the location next to Nakajima Park can’t be beat.
During the winter months, you can cross country ski with equipment provided free of charge by the city of Sapporo. What a great concept!
Centrally located being just 10-15 minutes walk away from Sapporo Station and the popular Odori Park and Susukino. The hotel has a direct entry to the underground passages, which is a fantastic feature travelers should utilize while in Sapporo.
Breakfast buffet was great with plenty of options (different restaurants to chose from). The room was very comfortable with modern amenities.
I love the hotel vintage set up. The ambiance when you enter the hotel is amazing. I love our room with city view. They clean our room everyday and it was nice ti get back to our clean room after all day walking outside. Also they change our towels and amenities everyday! Superb! It's near to Sapporo train station and 10mins to Odori Park. And lastly, i love their giveaway teas!
It is walking distance from the sapporo train station. There is a convenience store opposite and many paid parking spots around the hotel for rental cars. There are ample space in the apartment and hanging spaces for clothes. It's a 3 bedroom and there are privacy as the doors can be closed. They have garbage pickup service which is greatly appreciated for longer stays!
It was our 2nd time to stay at Sapporo Park Hotel... We always love looking outside and seeing the beautiful Nakajima Park especially in winter. It's just magical. Train station/subway is just 50m away. Very convenient to go around. Amenities in the room is complete, hotel and staff are always courteous and friendly. Would love to come back for the third time :)
This hotel is just 2 blocks away from Odori TV tower. Odors subway Station is just around another bloçk. Nijo fish market is just a block away, covered walking street too. Just a short is the Odori park, Sapporo snow festival, snow carving exhibition. Susukino ice carving exhibition is also a short walk . Perfect location to enjoy Sapporo.
A great hotel in the middle of Sapporo. The rooms are small but comfortable. It was a short walk to Odori Park where the Snow Festival is based and the bus stop for our trip to Furano. The bathrooms seem clean. There is an Onsen in the hotel but we didn't try it.
There is a lounge on 2F with some OK coffee.
I loved staying at Solaria! this hotel is absolutely beautiful with great design, very good staff, comfortable rooms, and a great restaurant with superb breakfast. Its very close to the train station (5 min walk) but not right on a busy street- it is across from a serene in-city park.
the room size is huge, theres a shuttle bus to sapporo station. making our transport more convenient especially during winter with heavy snow. price is reasonable and definitely will stay again. theres a beautiful nakajima park near the hotel, can take VERY nice photos there as well.
I like the fact that we can choose our own pillow at the lobby. The laundry / waiting area was very spacious and it comes with a coffee machine and few vending machines. It was a 10 mins walking distance to Sapporo station but you can cut short thru Tokyu to get to the hotel.
Well liked everything. Staffs were all accommodating and helpful with all our query navigating Sapporo. Breakfast was good. Location was great. Its just accross
Lawson where we buy all we need after a long and tiring tour. Few meters away from the JR station and a big mall.
Hotel is new, room is clean and considerable spacious for Japan. Not too far from Sapporo station. There is a convenient store right across the road. Breakfast was nice (love the pudding!). Free coffee/tea service in the afternoon till night. Public bath also available.
Proximity to Sapporo station using the underground passage. Exit 5 across the road has an elevator but Exit 7 which is the nearest to the hotel only as stairs.
It is very close to the Otori park.
Location is great, you can easily find restaurants and famous spots. Price is competitive, even include breakfast. You can use parking lot across from the hotel, or some others nearby.
We loved our time in Sapporo this hotel was located in such a wonderful area. It was so easy to get around and very close to a bus stop that took us to the Airport!
I have been travelling across Japan and always book with APA Hotel because of the affordability but good service they provide. It is the same wherever I stay.
