PA is a cute town however my experience did not meet my expectations, and they are not high. I dined at a local restaurant and the food was 2.5/5 (pics below-looks good but..). It was average quality for way above average price. It was disappointing. I don’t mind paying for quality but that didn’t come into play. And I’m not hard to please. Would I visit PA again? Yes. It’s cute and the ferry is a huge draw as well as its proximity to the Olympic Ntl Forest.

We were only there two evenings, but were unhappy with both restaurants that we chose for dinner. They were identified as the best or better ones in town. However, we did not enjoy it. We really would’ve enjoyed some good seafood. Decision to stay there was only to see high Ridge in the Olympics and it was fantastic.

Although we were only there for 1 night as we moved on to Vancouver Island the following day, Port Angeles seemed to have the quaintness of a small town, but with plenty of facilities. Obviously the proximity to Olympic NP & ferry services are the main plusses.

Port Angeles is centrally located to all the natural areas you would like to visit. Many places are closed at the beginning of the week. Cruise ship comes in and that makes restaurants really busy at dinner time. Plan ahead if you want to eat somewhere nice. Kokopelli Grill was nice and food was good but getting a seat took awhile. Some people couldn’t be seated. Try to get the shuttle that goes to Hurricane Ridge then you can go anytime. If you are a car, you’ll have to get up there early.

Stayed in Port Angeles because it was so close to Hurricane Ridge in the national Park. Had dinner at Joshua's restaurant next to the Super 8. The pictures hanging on the walls of the restaurant are good enough to be in an art gallery--very impressed!

Likes: ** This is a along-the-road type of motel and when you are getting close, you can see the sign up above the building. The lettering is faded with weather and time. No one has paid attention to that sign for years. That will set the stage for your stay. ** The location is good- walking distance to several restaurants and the downtown area. Along the way you'll pass plenty of delapidated buildings and store fronts as well. I didn't say it was a pretty walk.

Perfect location in the center of Port Angeles. Staff were very friendly and helpful when I needed them and left me alone exactly as I wished. While the building is obviously older, the plumbing and fixtures were in good shape, and a refrigerator and microwave were provided. A nonsmoking building was very, very much appreciated. The location is walkable to several cafes and coffee as well as safeway. It was exactly what I needed at a good price.

The receptionist gave us a warm welcome when we arrived a little later in the evening and even checked on us while we were still on our way to Port Angeles. The room was nice and cozy and had everything we needed for our two-night stay. The location is perfect and close to the harbor and from there you can start your trip for the day into Olympic National Park. Would definitely stay here again!

Convenient location and good value for overnight stays in Port Angeles, with the goal to visit Olympic National Park. Laundromat almost next doors which makes doing laundry quite convenient. Depending on the room you might not even hear the often complained noise of traffic. The beds were comfy and bathroom looked recently renovated; even though the building exterior did look quite old.

I stayed here because I was going home to Victoria. It was a quick drive to the Port Angeles ferry terminal and worth it! It felt very cozy. Everything that you would need for a comfortable stay was there. John checked me in and was very friendly. I would have loved to stay longer to have more time to explore the beautiful area of the Olympic National Park.

The room was very clean and organized, with a clean washroom equipped with nice toiletries, a hair dryer, a coffee machine, and a small fridge. It is very close to the downtown restaurants and marina. Breakfast was great too. There is free Wi-Fi and ample parking. The lovely mountain view is a bonus. What else could you ask for?

We had a pleasant one-night-stay here. The owner were very friendly and we could even check in a lot earlier than planned. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, water and coffee was available and located very close to the Olympic National Park. Would recommend it to everyone who passes through Port Angeles for a stay.

Looked on Tripadvisor for the best Travelers ranking in Port Angeles and this is what came up. Extremely disappointed….Save your money and book a cheaper hotel you will get the same facility for a lot less. What a rip-off! Front staff was very delightful on check-in and that was the best part of Quality Inn Uptown.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Port Angeles so you can visit Olympic National Park, this is a great option! It's a large lodge-style hotel, but still manages to feel cozy (the huge fireplace in the lobby helps!). The staff was super nice, and recommended some local restaurants to us.
