Great city, lots of touristy options to scratch the Japanese itch. We used the JR overground lines and the buses. This was a good option from Kinshicho and easier to navigate. Go to team labs, Shibuya and Asakusa - the royal palace is a bit boring if you aren’t part of and organised tour and whilst Shinjuku is heaving, it is also on the seedier side, but worth it nonetheless the less.Guest review bygarethUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Open air museum exceeded our expectations, the loop was fun to do. If you do the lake Ashi cruise and don’t mind paying a bit more, get first class tickets to skip the queues and access the much nicer (and less crowded) cabins and decks at the front of the ship. We also enjoyed the Skywalk bridge park a bit outside the loop (we got great views of Mount Fuji). Watch for the last buses though, some routes finish early (around 5pm) or you might get stranded on a mountain road. Chiba is an amazing city and because Star Wars Celebration 2025 was held there this year, I had to come and visit. The city is only about an hour away from Tokyo and going there from Chiba was easy to do. Locally speaking, Chiba offers many different places to eat (some of the best donuts I've ever had came from a donut shop called Uni Donuts close to the hotel I stayed at) and a cool Anime hobby store.Guest review byOliver - 8.0

We liked that the city was only a short train ride to many other cities like downtown Toyko and Yokohama.
