One of the most beautiful cities I have ever been.
One of the most beautiful cities I have ever been. Very alive city, everybody is out having fun! Nice restaurants and food everywhere. The city is very quiet and clean, this is impressive. The city center has nice old buildings and churches and big pedestrian areas. It is also one of safest cities I have ever been. Very close you can find beatiful villages and cities with big history and nice medieval old town like Aviles. Driving in Spain is safe and nice experience.

A beautiful little city with enough to see in a long weekend...
A beautiful little city with enough to see in a long weekend. Lots of places to eat and drink. If you want to cater for your own food there are plenty of medium sized supermarkets and one large one. The old quarter is particularly pretty. Visited on Ascension weekend - 10-13 May 2024 - with lots going on: lots food huts in the centre selling the local cheese, and other local food produce. Excellent local marching bands and a large craft fair.

Lovely city full of life!
Lovely city full of life! Clean, safe, amazing restaurants, cafes, bakeries.
Great visits to the art museum (free!) and Cathedral (fee with a guide via QR code on your phone).
Just walking around the city gives good vibes.
Also a very big mall with food court in case you want to shop (or kill time on rainy days.)
Surrounding villages on the coast have amazing views and crazy high waves that crash into the cliffs.

The cleanest, friendliest city in Spain.
The cleanest, friendliest city in Spain. I have never seen so many council workers sweeping a city before, incredibly clean. A must visit for everyone. The architecture is incredible, old & new together but not clashing. Museums, art, history and great cafe/bars etc all within walking distance, no taxis required.

This is quite a large city with wide boulevards and modern business and shopping areas with a beautiful old centre at its core.
Good road and rail links for arrival and onward travel.
Old town and Cathedral are lovely areas to explore on foot. Excellent choice of restaurants and bars- traditional Spanish but also Italian / mediterranean cusine and some catering for vegetarians/vegans. Plenty of historic buildings and gallery and museums to visit.
Best experience- seeing a wedding party arrive and enter the Cathedral on Saturday morning- with traditional dress and musicians playing pipes and drums.
Sitting in the sunshine at a cafe watching the spectacle unfold. Followed by a late lunch in a cobbled, inner courtyard restaurant ,nearby. Perfect!

Interesting city with a beautiful large well maintained park...
Interesting city with a beautiful large well maintained park in the center. Excellent shopping areas and pleanty of good places to eat. Interesting Sideria (cider) restaurants who have a novel way to pour the cider.
The hostess/owner was extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast was the best that I've had in Spain with home-made goodies and enough left over for lunch! The house/premises are just before Pola de Siero, coming on the Camino link from Villaviciosa, and well placed to break a long walk. The bedroom was spacious and peaceful with a good bathroom. The location is rural so dinner, (and obviously any dietary preferences) should best be considered and discussed with the hostess when booking.
A Great hotel is made by the staff. From those people at the reception desk to housekeeping staff. I really like Oviedo, and the staff made it a memorable trip. They bridged the gap in my lack of Español, and they are very nice humans.
The Fruela is a lovely hotel, and just up the street from the centre of the city, and lined with a number of nice restaurants, one of which is the Fruela's. If you go to Oviedo, stay at the Fruela.
A very good budget hotel in centre of Oviedo. Its in the main shopping district and a 10 minute walk to the lovely old town.
You can pull up outside for 15 mins following which you will be directed to an underground car park 5 mins walk away (€12 a day) which you can leave and enter anytime.
Check in was fast and efficient. Staff were good. Room very clean.
Didn't have breakfast as many options available nearby.
Super location. Check in was good and taxi called in the morning in one minute. We loved the spaciousness and great room. Leaving before 7 a m there is a mini take away breakfast for travelers free. Nice option. Oviedos had lovely squares, the great museum and this hotel os within the circle of all thus including walkable coder restaurants.
The apartment is very well located and have a paid public parking really near. Basically you can visit most of Oviedo by foot.
The landlord was always available and helpful to answer questions and give ideas of places to visit and where to eat some real Asturian food. The rooms are really quiet, even being right next to a school.
The room was great - good size and shower sand toilets are 5 star quality however the view was terrible.
Location was centric within Oviedo.
Bed was comfortable.
Had tapas and salad one evening in the lounge - relaxed after hard days work and it was good quality food and ideal to just relax.
Great location, at the very heart of Oviedo. The hotel is in a beautiful ancient building but the reception and rooms are accessible, which is great if you travel with big luggage. The staff was lovely, very attentive and welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean.
Very spacious, the host was very helpful with all of our questions as we have never been to Spain let alone oviedo. House was clean beds were super comfortable and amenities were thoughtful they left some snacks and coffee which was a nice touch
Supreme location inside the old town with views from some rooms of the cathedral nearby. Perfect location to walk to all of the major sites in Oviedo. Breakfast was excellent. Parking in underground for 11.50 / night.
It’s a new, big hotel so the facilities are really good. Rooms are new and huge, there’s so much space. Staff was exceptionally helpful when we really needed serious help. Indoor parking is available. View is nice.
The breakfast was sumptuous, the hotel itself was very grand so that it 'felt' like a five-star location, and above all the staff were absolutely delightful. I could have taken them all home with me.
Centrally located steps from the Cathedral and historic center as well as the "eat street" in Oviedo This is a cute (small), comfortable, fun little studio apartment, adequate for two people.
This is a prestige hotel right in the city centre. Very well appointed, excellent restaurant, nice staff, very comfortable AND 2 grand pianos. The city of Oviedo is a must see in my book.
This was truly an amazing studio apartment in Oviedo. Very clean, perfect location, great host and nice kitchen. Great place to stay in Oviedo for a single traveler or couple.
