More about what we did not like. The hosts were unfriendly and when we told them we were going to need to get in later than their curfew well this was a "BIG" problem. After some discussion, the gate that he claimed would lock us out was actually very easily passed, we could let ourselves in and we went the event we came to Port Alberni to attend.

Nothing we didn’t stay here. We had to leave because we found many bed bugs everywhere including the bathroom and some baby bed bugs on our bed after we checked also make sure check your bed sheets cos we had to check everything after finding bed bugs in the bathroom checked our sheets founds them stained everywhere including blood stains the place doesn’t deserve to be staying open! They tried to offer us a free night after we showed them what we found in the room!

Most things were decent during my stay, and the owners were very friendly, which I appreciated. However, there was a strong sour smell coming from one of the bedding sheets, which made it difficult to relax or sleep. I couldn’t figure out the source of the odor, and I eventually had to go to Dollarama to buy a new sheet and some room freshener just to make the room bearable. The hostel itself is old, which is understandable, but if the room hadn’t had that unpleasant smell, it would have been a good place to stay.

A good location for a stress-free getaway in Port Alberni, Outdoor Lovers is a bed and breakfast surrounded by views of the quiet street.

Bill and Milly are such kind and thoughtful hosts, genuinely warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Their place was spotless, cozy, and kept at the perfect temperature. They went above and beyond by treating me to their delicious homemade soups and breakfast. I felt truly cared for during my stay.

Our room is newly renovated I could really tell. Which i did not expect. The interior is very well thought of.

It was a very quaint and cozy. Clever use of the space and property. I also loved waking up in the morning to go outside with my cup of coffee to listen to the crickets, very serene. You are about 20 mins away from the town center up a hill.
