Very nice hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we got a free upgrade to a very nice large room. The food was excellent and the facilities were excellent. Good gym with various equipment and weights and a brilliant outdoor heated pool. Would recommend this hotel

    A beautiful place away from the City hustle.

    A beautiful place away from the City hustle. The Caravan stay for awesome and my parents and my family loved it. The caravan booked was for 7 people including 2 kids, which had 3 bedroom and 1 toilet and one toilet and bathroom attached. We booked for 3 nights, and on the second day we decided to check if we could extend the stay for another 3 nights, but it was a shame that caravan was booked and we could not extend our stay. Our car was parked in front of the Caravan we stayed. The nearby food joints was about ~10 to 15 mins walk from the location "Seafield Holiday Park". "Affinity Devon Outlet Shopping" was about 10 mins drive from the location we stayed. I would surely recommend to visit/stay in this place.

    Bideford is a pleasant place.

    Bideford is a pleasant place. It is very handy for the Thursday 7am ferry sailing across the Lundy Island for a day trip. Our recommended place to eat is "Le Petit Monde" restaurant, French theme, great fish dishes, delicious!

    Bideford is a great place to visit if you like running or cycling. The Tarka Trail runs through it, giving you miles and miles of flat traffic free cycling. It's really close to Appledore and a great beach at Westward Ho! There are plenty of restaurants, cafe's and take-aways so eating out isn't a problem. We would have liked to have had more time to take a boat trip out from Bideford to Lundy Island... maybe next time.

    Parts of Biddeford were lively and busy with independent shops and eateries. The Bread Cafe was excellent. The staff were very attentive and engaging. We didn’t eat there as we had already eaten a large breakfast but the Rock Buns looked amazing and were very popular with other customers. However, there was also an area that looked a little rundown and in need of some tlc. A sign of the times sadly.

    My accommodation was five miles or so from Bideford, in the countryside. Bideford offers shopping and eating opportunities and is a pleasant town. Not a place to spend all your time but, a good base from which to explore N. Devon.

    We went in the winter which limited us a little but that's no criticism of the town or area, of course. Lots of tourist facilities. LOADS of activities and nearby beaches/estuaries. Shops open everywhere despite it being March and cold and wet. It's a lovely place to visit for holiday/break/activities. Perhaps a tiny bit old fashioned but that added to the charm and if you needed tech it was there, just not so much in your face as at home. Just the right atmosphere for family and/or romance. Loveliest views & stunning landscapes offering endless walking/hiking/biking/watersports.

    I arrived to the hotel and was given a complimentary room upgrade, my room faced a view of the outdoor dining area, swimming pool and Estuary. The hotel is truly set in an amazing location, my room was spotlessly clean also. I had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both superb, and great value for money. I was visiting an elderly relative in the area, and although travelling alone, the kindness of the staff made me forget that I was on my own. Thank you for a wonderful stay

    Mel and Steve were great welcoming hosts. We felt comfortable as soon as we walked in. Room and en suite were ultra clean and well equipped. Welcome tray was well stocked with everything we wanted. Breakfast was wonderful and eggs and mushrooms the tastiest we’ve had. Bed was comfortable and we had a super stay. We know Bideford well and would say that The Corner House is an ideal location. Thank you

    Lovely atmosphere in this very old hotel, lovely gardens, great old fashioned room, facilities were good, food was very good we ate there both nights. Staff were excellent and very friendly, lots of nooks and crannies in the hotel of interest, to sit and relax with a drink. If you are visiting Bideford or Clovelly would highly recommend this hotel.
