Always on the Move
A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War II. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.
Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.
Other cultural features are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.
Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centers than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.
Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.

I had a long stay at this Hotel, I really enjoyed my stay, Hotel was very modern with nice sound proofed rooms, very friendly staff willing to help, very nice restaurant and breakfast. The WIFI is excellent and reliable for working, Its not a far walk from Blue city mall and there is alot of food cafes in the area, a lovelu park is not far away and I walked there daily which was a delight to visit. Hotel is fine but the location is in a very busy place and no car park. Public car park is not far from the hotel however waiting over 2 hours to find a spot and had to wake up super early to purchase parking ticket. If you fancy lay in then this is not the hotel for you.Guest review byFabian - 8.0

Tourism is growing but still not out of control like in most Western European capitals. lots of new venues have popped up over the past 5 years with especially some foodhall concepts in wola district. Public transport is cheap and available in abundance. you can easily also take a day trip to nearby cities like Lodz by train. Hotel not very clean, mold, white stuff on the pen and in toilet, poor cold breakfest, no smoking area staff send you to smoke on the street on the front of the hotel, staff do not open the taras when is cloudy even half of it is under conopy. The old city is beautiful, worth the visit. Prices are good. But that's it. The rest of the city is enormous, with too many skyscrapers, and can be hard to navigate. It is not exactly walkable, and crossing the streets can be challenging as the crossing points are too far away from each other. There is a mix (not harmonious) between the few old-style, pretty buildings, with extremely modern skyscrapers and some dammed Iron Curtain buildings. Keep in mind that everything is closed on Sundays, except for a few places to eat (which stands for all of Poland), so considering using Sunday as a vacation day is a bad idea. Other cities in Poland are far more appealing to visit as a tourist.Guest review byAndris
