A wonderful lakeside village, with a fantastic Moto Guzzi museum and tour, away from the hustle and bustle of Bellagio, a true gem in Lake Como. We loved it there it there. Harbour accessible for ferries. Not as touristy as some place. We enjoyed just sitting on benches in the shade reading our books. We mainly catered for ourselves. I'm dairy free and my partner is veggie, we found it difficult to find somewhere to just have a simple meal that wasn't pizza or a bit pricey. The train station is 7 - 10 mins away although there is a bus replacement service til September buses every 15 mins so not too bad.Guest review byStephanieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Loved Mandello. It is a fantastic location. This charming village offers plenty to do and is perfect for scenic walks along the lake or through the park. It's less touristy than the more well-known towns, which gives it an authentic, local feel. Restaurants, cafes, a big supermarket, free parking. We visited in mid May and it was amazing. Thank you! Very nice little town if you wish to run away from the crowds. Has Moto Guzzi museum, ferries taking you to any end of the lake, including Bellagio. Trains for quick travel. Few nice cafeterias and restaurants worth visiting if you are in for a longer stay.Guest review byMindaugasLithuania - 10.0

Peaceful and charming place to have as a base on Lake Como. Not busy but with enough restaurants, supermarkets and bakeries. Beautiful place to wander through the pretty side streets and watch the activities on the lake. We didn't have a car but found the trains on time and they made it easy to move between places. I wish I had been able to visit the motorcycle museum - there are several restaurants nearby but the food at Mamma Ciccia was too good - I wanted to try everything!
