Amalfi is a small and charming town with beautiful architecture and a lovely atmosphere. However, since it’s the central town of the entire Amalfi Coast, it tends to get very crowded — which unfortunately takes away some of its charm. That said, it’s still worth a visit, especially to admire its history and beauty. But I highly recommend exploring the nearby towns as well — like Positano, Atrani, Maiori, Minori, and others — each of them has its own unique character and is often much more peaceful and authentic.Guest review byLiza ManijaLatvia - 10.0
Great views, scenery and nature.
Great views, scenery and nature. A bit tiring due to the stairs. Your hotel's location is important, mine was very well located. Not far from the beaches but still with a very nice view. I recommend the restaurant Donna Rosa, very nice food and elegant place for dinners.Guest review byGAMZEGÜLTurkey - 10.0
The property itself is stunning.
The property itself is stunning. It is nestled in a lovely country side area, with beautiful mountain views, and easy access to bus routes that get you across the Amalfi coast, but enable a quiet nights rest away from the super touristy spots. Breakfast is more than a typical Italian breakfast in quantity, and the hostesses are exceptionally attentive and helpful. There are amenities like laundry, groceries and local restaurants all within walking distance. We would definitely return.Guest review byLiliaCanada - 10.0

We think Vietri is the best place to stay on the Amalfi coast. It is easy to reach (most other towns are a pain to drive to), and is a great place to explore from, with Pompeii only 25 mins drive and Herculaneum around 35 minutes, all motorway. The town itself is very authentic and prices are reasonable compared to the better known places. The boat service to other Amalfi towns is regular and easy to use without being too expensive (€25 return to Amalfi for 2 people) - we enjoyed the boat trips as much as the towns which were generally heaving with tourists, I’d hate to think what high season is likeGuest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Amazing city with very nice restaurants and great ferry connection. It was a very good decision for us to stay in a smaller city, because Maiori has a fantastic beach, it was not that busy, but we still had access to all the bigger cities on the coast.Guest review byBettinaNorway - 10.0

Furore is around 15km from amalfi, sounds close but in reality due to the winding roads it takes around 25 minutes in a car/bus Furore is quite spread out so you need to take that in to account when staying there. Car/moped is the best method of transport followed by the bus, walking is an option but be prepared for many steep hills. This is a perfect base to get into amalfi, but be aware that parking in amalfi itself is challenging and the police/car towing companies are red hot!Guest review byMARKUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Peaceful and quiet—perfect for a relaxing vacation.
Peaceful and quiet—perfect for a relaxing vacation. There are plenty of good restaurants and enough markets for everyday needs. The area also offers great historical sites to explore, along with the beautiful Valle delle Ferriere nature park nearby. A convenient bus stop with frequent service makes it easy to get around the area without a car.Guest review byNemanjaSerbia
