Bradford is in the middle of its year as 'City of Culture'.
Bradford is in the middle of its year as 'City of Culture'. The amount of places with free entry is staggering, although you often need to book the free tickets. The Cartwright Art Gallery in the lovely Lister Park is a good half day visit. The refurbished Media and Science Museum is excellent. Don't miss the Tower of Now near to this museum. If you can go to the Railway Children, do so. It is a magical and unmissable performance. Bradford itself is a delight. It's now grand, not grim. Bradford is this year's City of Culture. It has a wonderful architectural heritage. The spacious city centre is now completely pedestrianised, with attractive gardens around City Hall. Wonderfully warm and friendly locals, fabulous restaurants and numerous stunning Victorian buildings.
