We have been before. Sadly, Cefalu is becoming very busy now. We've been many times previously and have noticed the increase in tourism. We can't complain. We're tourists ourselves. Cefalu is one of the best summer destinations to visit in Sicily. The scenery, beach, the old city, restaurants and train access makes this an excellent tourist destination. Beautiful location, lovely old town with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Beach is golden sand and plenty private and public beaches along the front promenade. Train from Palermo was quite straight forward. The sunset is just stunning! We ate our dinners in the hotel too; there was a reasonably good choice for vegetarians and the quality was excellent. Prices were comparable to what we would have paid to eat in town.
