Location is phenomenal, a 5-7 minute walk from Regents Road, the hotel is staffed well with lots of facilities. Comfy enough bed for the price. Restaurant serves tasty food, however I would say it is steeply priced in comparison with local eateries of the area, therefore we decided not to eat there after the first night.

There are loads of things to do in great Yarmouth fabulous walks along the prom or the beach. Fair ground to visit with the children. Slot machine all on the front. loads of little cafe on the prom to stop and eat or a drink. Lovely sandy beaches to spend a day on .The Norfolk broads and take a boat trip. We found a lovely place to eat and we had to book as it is always packed so booking is essential at Hotel Ocean the food is amazing and we went there twice and enjoyed every min. 5* all round and staff are very attentive.

We stayed in Hemsby, not far from Great Yarmouth but we did visit for the day. We went to the pleasure beach where we spent 7 hours, we went on a Wednesday so it was open later. We did venture to Great Yarmouth beach briefly. It seemed clean and tidy, there were lots of arcades, shops, places to eat and some fair ground rides nearer the sea. During the summer months (august i believe) they have fireworks on the beach on a Wednesday from 10pm.

Its a lovely long walk along the beach or promenade.

Its a lovely long walk along the beach or promenade. There were plenty of places to eat or stop for a cup of tea. The crazy golf was good fun. This trip could be as cost effective as you needed it to be. Plenty of places on the beach to play, relax or swim without spending any money or the amusements and rides were varied if you weren't worried about the cost. The town was quite and pleasant. The bakeries did the most amazing doughnuts. A nice place for our grand-children to run and explore without us having to be checking on them every minute.

Liked this typical old fashioned seaside resort with all the attractions you expect at the seafront. Several good museums near the Quayside. Did not have time to visit local attractions outside of Great Yarmouth itself but there are plenty around just a short drive away. Plenty of restaurants to suit all budgets, try the Alexandra restaurant serving English and Greek dishes, good food and atmosphere at reasonable prices. Some streets a little run down in places away from the front but not enough to detract from a visit.

I liked strolling up and down the main stretch of seaside, seeing the horses/landaus, the donkeys, the Arc Cinema, the revamped Wellington Pier. I loved the Big Wednesday evenings in August, with the firework aeroplane and classic cars. I loved the Punch & Judy show on Britannia Pier. Nelson's Monument is worth seeing too. Enjoyed the Old Penny Arcade Museum. The Art Trail was an interesting bonus, especially the Black Beauty exhibit.

All the staff were pleasant, we had a room to the rear of the property with a small seating area outside which was ideal for my partner. I have stayed in many establishments in Great Yarmouth but going forward this would be my hotel of choice.
