I've stayed here 2x before and came back because it's such a lovely place in a great location - two minutes' walk from the bus station at Chandolin Poste, two minutes from the grocery shop, and with an amazing breakfast and dinner offerings. The rooms (I stayed in the bunk bed option but by myself) are very comfortable, with a great bathroom setup (rain shower!), comfy bed, water, coffee machine and pods, and lift access to the rooms. The staff are truly lovely and let us store our overnight bags before and after our stay while we went to work up on the mountain.

Stephane was a spectacular host. He prepared fresh bread and breakfast for us and arranged for a nice time in sauna and spa. My husband got sprain in his leg so he gave him a stick to walk .

They go above and beyond to make you feel at home, from thoughtful chats to planning personalized day trips around the area. The homemade dinners and breakfasts were a real highlight—packed with local ingredients, generous portions, and full of flavor. It’s rare to find such heart and care poured into every detail. We felt incredibly well looked after, and getting to know Emily and John made the whole experience feel deeply personal and special. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the region. Very lovely host who welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home right away. She even went out of her way to get us the Val d'Annivers guest pass ahead of time so we could use the public transit from Moiry Glacier. Comfortable bed and smart tv with Netflix!

    Nice little (original Swiss Valais) town. Lots of traffic. Very old infrastructure in the ski area (with a few new gondolas and chairlifts). Waiting in line for the lift is annoying. The longest time I've experienced.

    Nice place but it seems they start to turn it into a...

    Nice place but it seems they start to turn it into a construction site, a lot of new development at higher altitude levels ; it still has charm but fear that this unknown gem is now fully exposed to foreign and domestic real estate investments. I come here for over 18 years and witnessed these gradual changes with mixed emotions. Also prices are hiked up seriously, dinner, supermarket, replacing a broken ski helmet with a new one etc...seems all 30 to 40 percent more expensive than comparable resorts in France .

    Grimentz is a very pretty village up on the mountains.

    Grimentz is a very pretty village up on the mountains. But it is still small enough to be very quiet and cozy. Having a car helps a lot. You can also drive up to a dam and lake or even higher up to the glacier (Parking space at both locations). Cable car stations in the middle of the village with access to both mountain sides. Lots of shopping options.

    it was so authentic, so comfortable with a great outdoor bar, the food was excellent & the location right next to the cable car was amazing! brilliant staff, so kind & helpful at all times with the best duvets ever experienced!! oh and the spa was just what we needed each day.
