This area is more upscale than many, and so has good shopping and eateries galore. We used the location to venture every direction - Valley Fair, MoA, Uptown/Downtown Mpls, zoos, museums - most within a 15-20 minute drive. Really, some of the best shopping available within a relatively small area means more time for fun. There is no shortage of activities to reach from Bloomington, and we will stay there again. Though Fat Lorenzo's pizzeria has a Minneapolis address, it's worth a little drive.Guest review byBD MeierUnited States - 4.0
Roads are complete crap! Down town is very rough.
Roads are complete crap! Down town is very rough. Freeway is garbage. Huge bumps that launch you in the air over and over. Never experienced roads so horrible. Entire city is a dump! Why i ever went here idk? Junkies bent over standing in the middle of the road. Laod out across the sidewalks. Got a ticket for parking in a no parking 11pm to 3am at 8pm. ???Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We visit Duluth every year for City On The Hill Music Festival. This time we were there for the Tall Ships Festival Of Sail 2025. So, 2 times in 2025. We ate at Grandma's and Little Angie's - both I would highly recommend!!! We also ate at the Duluth Perkin's - also a great choice!!! We always go to the Portland Malt Shop for Ice Cream or a Malt - delicious, but expect a lengthy wait in line. We took a cruise on the Vista Star, which is always fun and relaxing!!! We visited Two Harbors another day. And went to Burlington Station and Callie's for some unique Fudge - Pistachio, Cookies and Cream, and Cotton Candy flavors, and Popcorn. Love Duluth and the Two Harbors areas!!!Guest review byJacquelineUnited States - 10.0
We liked visiting Rochester during my visit to Mayo.
We liked visiting Rochester during my visit to Mayo. Did some sightseeing. Mayo tour and Olmstead Cty. museum was great. Supper at the Bleu Duck was great. Getting around Rochester was difficult. Wish there was a street map of the Rochester downtown and surrounding area. This would have made it much easier to get around and find places.Guest review byEmily - 10.0

Besides the hotel, we only ate at one other place, which was the Railcar restaurant on seventh street. excellent food and staff. We were there for a high school graduation party and watched several softball games in the area. Highways and streets were well marked and close.Guest review bypeggy - 6.0
The rooms are overpriced for what you get.
The rooms are overpriced for what you get. Location is the key to $. Stay at a less expensive nice place and Uber. Our family came for the weekend expecting to use the pool area in between sports events. The pool was out of order. We were told we would get a discounted rate and that didn’t happen. The water pressure in the shower was a trickle, the complimentary shampoo and conditioner in the shower were empty and the water temperature was luke warm.Guest review byLesaUnited States - 8.0

it's out of the way, but really, you can get almost anywhere in the mpls area in a half hour. it was contiguous with chanhassen where most of my activities took place. it's kind of a small-ish town so it's not congested. i like that it's near the highways.Guest review bymarilynnUnited States - 2.0
DON'T EVER STAY HERE.
DON'T EVER STAY HERE. I needed police interference for what was going on outside the hotel. Shenanigans going on day and night, unclean, unmonitored, sketchy neighborhood, felt like a brothel, no peace or relaxation, should be shut down immediately.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

My sister and I like the Treasure Chest Thrift store and Modern Barnyard. We like that there are lots of good restaurants to choose from. We ate at Granite City and the food was very good. Prices are reasonable and the Bloody Mary was excellent! We also went to St. Joseph's and loved their coffee shop and stores. Walking trails are great too.Guest review byBritz - 10.0

My friend took me around to places of interest, restaurants and artistic venues. Couldn't really tell you where all we ate, most of it was middle eastern and it was quite good. I never felt like I was as close as I was to metropolitan areas because it was quiet and secluded. Getting around, not the easiest due to construction, but detours well markedGuest review byWaterman
