We really liked the corner room, the fantastic views the wonderful balcony, and the bed feel. Also the change of sheets and new towels on the 4 th day. The air and temperature were great in the mountains. It was also great to have the dishware and sink. The coffee was very good.

It might not look the best from the outside but it was super clean and comfortable. The staff are great. The views from the back side of the hotel are great. The restaurant in the hotel was also great. Overall, I would recommend staying here.

Very quiet area — easy to relax. The yard was beautifully landscaped and well kept. The new outdoor sitting room was very nice. The space was tastefully decorated and welcoming. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of space to move around. Breakfast was exceptional. There was more food than we could manage, but it was a great variety that suited our sometimes picky eaters.

    Beautiful surroundings of the mountains. This area is perfect for day trips to Banff, Lake Louise and Emerald Lake. Less crowded and less expensive hotels here than Banff. And the drive from Golden to Banff is beautiful.

    Golden is a charming small city located not too far from Edmonton. Though it has a small population, it offers big adventures—especially at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, which is a must-visit. Visitors can enjoy scenic chairlift and gondola rides, and at the top, there's even a Grizzly Bear habitat. You can walk along secured trails with barricades and safely observe the grizzly bear in its natural mountain environment. It’s a unique and unforgettable experience for nature and wildlife lovers. The Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre, located about a 15‑minute drive north of Golden, BC, is an engaging destination for wildlife and conservation enthusiasts. A 25-minute guided presentation at the enclosures covers wolf behavior, conservation, why they howl, and their ecological role. $15 per person and is a Cash only facility. ATM is available with a 3% surcharge on withdrawals.

    What a gem! I didn’t know that Golden had so much to offer.

    What a gem! I didn’t know that Golden had so much to offer. We visited the art gallery and the book store. And had a choice of great coffee. We stayed on the main highway but discovered that the downtown area is very walkable. We enjoyed dinner at the Pint &Fork which was excellent. Our server Trish was a wealth of information about the town. We plan to return because there’s plenty of hiking and cycling trails which we’d like to explore. I believe there’s a trail for every experience level. Thank you, Golden!

    Loved the experiences at Golden.

    Loved the experiences at Golden. We stayed at Lush Mountain Accomodations, so it was in the mountains with beautiful views, but close enough to the town if we wanted to go out to dinner or grab some groceries. The restaurants were SO GOOD, which was surprising in a small town. We did sushi, pizza, and the mountain bistro. I would seriously rank those up with some 4 star restaurants I have been to in larger cities. It is a bit more expensive, but thats expected in a touristy town. Still less expensive than Banff! We took our family to the Golden Golf Course one day and White Water rafting with Wild Water. Both were graet experiences, so much fun, and truly memories our family will savor for many years to come!

    we went to the golden skybridge, it wasnt open last time we were there. it is an awesome place, and we will be back, there were a few other things there we would like to see and do. highly recommend a stop in Golden.

    Golden is a friendly little town, lots to do and see!

    Golden is a friendly little town, lots to do and see! Skiing at Kicking Horse is literally 20 mins drive away. We were in town for a bonspiel and the people were so friendly and fun. Recommended stops: Wolf's Den for supper - awesome staff and great food - get the bison burger! Coffee at the Wandering Fern can't be beat and set aside some time at Bacchus Books - it is so nice and the selection of new and used books is crazy! Staff is so nice and helpful. Run don't walk to book your next trip to Golden!

    A great location in Golden, quiet and plenty of parking available. Only a couple minutes from the Skybridge (would recommend!) and not far from the Buffalo Ranch. The room was clean and good value for money! Range of breakfast items available and nice to chat with the host & other guests. Shared spaces were available including a hot tub, garden and lounge.

    Comfortable, clean room. Convenient for downtown Golden, close to local amenities and the river. The hotel has no reception (comprising a series of rooms above restaurant and bar) but the host responded quickly to text messages/requests. Guests get a 20% discount on food purchased at the Rockwater Grill & Bar 🙂

    We were put in the back of the hotel lower level. Maybe that's where the dog friendly area was. The area wasn't snow plowed until the following day. The room was cold when we came in. It took a long time to warm up.
