I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel twice during my trip to Sri Lanka, and I couldn't wait to share my experience. I first arrived at the beginning of my stay, and after such an incredible experience, I decided to return for an additional two-night booking at the end of my trip. From the moment I checked in, I was confident that my second stay would be just as wonderful, and I was absolutely right. One of the standout moments of my visit was the exceptional assistance I received from Basil. While I was in Anuradhapura, I needed to book a bus ticket for my next leg of the journey. Basil not only helped me secure a confirmed seat, but he also made sure everything went smoothly by answering all of my questions, big or small. His attentiveness and dedication were genuinely above and beyond, and I felt incredibly well taken care of. I also want to take a moment to recognize Latah, the wonderful lady who prepares breakfast every morning. Her warm and inviting personality is reflected in the delicious, home-cooked meals she serves daily. Each breakfast felt like a treat, and it was the perfect start to each day. The care and effort Latah puts into her cooking is evident, and she truly adds a personal touch to the guest experience. Both Basil and Latah truly go out of their way to make every guest feel welcome, comfortable, and valued. I've traveled to over 50 countries, and it's rare to come across such genuinely kind, thoughtful, and hardworking people. The staff here pour their hearts into everything they do, and it’s clear that this hotel is not just a business, but a place where they are deeply committed to ensuring guests have the best possible stay. When you book a stay at this hotel, you can rest assured that you’ll be well taken care of from start to finish. Thank you once again, Basil and Latah, for making my Sri Lankan vacation unforgettable. Your hospitality truly made this trip one to remember

    Perfect one/two nights on arrival take a tuktuk tour its worth it and last night before you leave. Negombo is 30 mins to the main SRI Lankan Airport, much close than Colombo. Also all hotels have UK plug sockets which is useful

    Its one of my favourite places in Sri Lanka.

    Its one of my favourite places in Sri Lanka. The food places like Prego, Toro pub, Bamboo Kitchen with Shisha, Rodeo are some of the amazing places. The Browns Beach and the people are amazing and loving. Infact Poruthota road has a SPA CEYLON boutique you can use it for mssage rituals from Luxury Ayurveda. Beautiful coastal lines, fsh markets, churches etc. A must visit.

    Most of the hotels and places to stay are on/near the...

    Most of the hotels and places to stay are on/near the tourist strip. The city centre is a tuk tuk drive away which is full of local people not many tourists. We did a tuk tuk town tour which was fun and nice to see the sights. We did the boat cruise at muthalajewela marsh lands and negomboo lagoon which was great for seeing birds and animals. We did a cooking class which was a great authentic experience. We walked along the beach which was pleasant but the rubbish is ashame, think the rubbish everywhere is a problem which isn't seen back home. The restaurants have western food and few sri lankan options. We found a food stall at night near the dolphin roundabout which did roti...yum chocolate and banana ones they also sold other sri lankan food. Owner was very welcoming. Not sure how price was charged,think probably tourist price and local price but still cheaper than proper restaurant. Overall great way to introduce the family to Sri Lanka...think a lot of people end there trip here. We bought a dialog sim at the airport so we could use apps for transport...pickme app like uber but sri lankan version and better. Also use uber. Tuk tuks aplenty here. The apps are good so you can put in where you want to go and where to be picked up from. Also sim good for what's app as most people use what's app. There are a number of ATM's some charge to use them..commercial bank was free. There is a larger supermarket down one end of the strip, there are a number of little convience store along the road if one doesn't have what you want another will :) By the time we left we had seen all the tourist things to see and do.

    Negombo Beach is a tourist resort strip. Negombo old town, and markets are worth a visit. Express bus from bus station to Colombo 50 mins instead of 2 hrs . 20 mins from Airport , good for a day or 2.

    place was really nice and organized.

    place was really nice and organized. AC was not quite sufficient in the rooms specially master bed room. pool was not cleaned as per the standards. much they could have provided with a TV and a AC in living area. by the way food fantastic and staff personals are very supportive through out the stay.

    Amazing place to stay in Negombo! The owner and staff are very friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. We enjoyed the swimming pool as we arrived from the airport. The place is in a quiet street behind the main street, close to nice restaurants and the beach. Last but not least, the breakfast is delicious! It was a great first stop for our journey through Sri Lanka.

    Really lovely hotel, well located as close to the airport. We used this hotel as our first stop on our travel around Sri Lanka, perfect place to unwind and settle into holiday mode!     This was one of best hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka. Great room, clean and furnished, great pool, very good breakfast (many options) and staff. Also private driver that can pick you up and drop you at the airport free of charge is very convenient. I very much recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Negombo.
