The traffic and road construction getting to Virginia Beach is horrendous. A lot of the restaurants are very touristy and not very good. The beach is well taken care of and there are life guards. I will say, Repeal - Bourbon & Burgers restaurant was the definite highlight. Virginia Beach is a beautiful large beach with many of things to do. There are many band shells with free live music and entertainment nightly throughout the year. There are many of water sports available as well, such as parasailing, boating, and surfing. Many of great restaurants all along the boardwalk ranging from fine dinning to very casual fare.
