We were there for the last 3 days of the beach festival. The sand sculptures, illuminated at night, were amazing (in the true meaning of the word) in their artistry and creativity. The beaches, parks and old growth trees were a delight to see. There are several excellent and unique restaurants. This town is perfect for a romantic couple's break or for a family with children. Such a quiet and quaint little town by the ocean. If you want a relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle of city life Parksville is the perfect destination. Chameleons is one of our favorite restaurants and the Stonewater Spa at the Beach Club Resort is wonderful. Parksville was a great central place to stay on the island, easily did a day trip to Tofino, and on another day did a day trip to Victoria. Beaches are easily accessible and Cathedral Grove and "goats on the roof" were within a half hour drive from Parksville. Ferry terminal is 40 minutes away.Guest review byJoAnnCanada
