Steamboat Springs is a superb ski resort with a wide variety of runs of all difficulties. With two large supermarkets in the town a few km away, self-catering in the well equipped kitchen is easy. The free shuttle to the base of the lifts could not be more convenient- it leaves from your door and drops you off at the base village a short walk to the lifts and services. Take in the lovely view over the valley while relaxing in the comfortable lounge / dining area.

The town of Steamboat is nice but expensive and not really set up for vegetarians except for Mexican/ Asian restaurants. Dinner for a family of four at a decent sit down place is $100 at least. It's easy to get around on public transportation and if you stay at a place that offers it's own shuttle the convenience of getting to the resort increases.
The ski resort is excellent and if you're coming for the slopes I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The mountain is not groomed well and the trails are not marked well. The lift staff need more supervision in some places as they are not attentive and not directing traffic during crowded times. The mountain needs a bathroom facility at the top of Sunshine, Sundown and new gondola lifts.

I liked the proximity to ski lifts walking with skis & in ski boots or snowboards. I loved unit had bathtubs & full kitchen, even if you didnt want to cook. Makes it nice for breakfast or could stop for lunch. I loved the jacuzzis. Unit beds were great! Could stand different comforters or new blankets. But as a rental & a landlord myself understand why they had what they have, easy to wash & reuse.

A very walkable city, and still with free mass transit if you want it. Lots of very good food options, and unlike the mountain itself, everything was open. The Mountain is pretty much completely shut down, with few restaurants or shops even open.

The room was clean and cozy and easily accommodated 7-8 people, which was perfect for my group. The breakfast served at the hotel was okay, but nothing too exceptional.
What really made this hotel great for skiers and snowboarders is that the bus to the ski resort is right outside the hotel! This was incredibly convenient and saved us a lot of time and hassle. Since we came primarily for skiing, this made the hotel all the more appealing.
The location was GREAT! Close to shopping, restaurants, hiking trails, etc.
The property was extremely clean and well maintained. I always saw employees picking up trash, mowing the grass and cleaning. The accommodations were very clean and remodeled with new furniture and appliances. The staff was very friendly and came at 9pm on a Sunday to look at a broken door knob even though we said it could definitely wait until Monday.
The room was simple, quiet and cozy with all amenities we wanted. The window was big and we were able to open it at night for fresh air. The pool and hot tub were nice after a long day of activity and were very clean. Staff were friendly. It was great to have the walking trail along the Yampa river right by the hotel. The trails also lead downtown.
The location was in the heart of downtown steamboat. We walked to everything. Very friendly staff. It's not your upscale hotel, so if you need anything they were prompt to bring it to you. I liked how they didn't go into your room unless you asked. I do suggest if you can't do stairs Especially with your luggage to request the bottom floor.
Pros of Nordic Lodge; Awesome location close to downtown Steamboat so restaurants/ shops and the river trail are easy to access, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the remodel is very cool and mountain themed, it's a dog friendly motel, and the pool/hot tub area was very nice and clean
Breakfast was mediocre at best—some bread and bagels, no peanut butter, no fruit other than squishy oranges, and no herbal tea options. Not awful, but it’s the least appealing hotel breakfast I’d seen in a long time. Thank goodness they had oatmeal packets to go…
It was in a beautiful community among condos, townhomes, apartments just outside of downtown Steamboat Springs. We were able to get around town very easily from our location. We enjoyed the view of the mountains from our room.
The rooms were very large, comfortable and clean. There were very nice amenities. It was 2 miles from downtown Steamboat but that was a great location, near grocery stores and restaurants.
The condo was well equipped with everything you would need for a short stay. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of parking. Could take a free bus into Steamboat which picks up nearby.
Very nice and accommodating staff. Awesome that the hotel is pet friendly since we love bringing our dog with us on trips! Hotel and room was very clean overall!
Well located in central downtown, very close and convenient to the bus stop for the shuttle bus to and from the ski lifts. The manager was helpful and friendly.
