The best 2 days of my week vacation in Costa Rica. If you go with the mindset of adventure, disconnection from internet, camping style you will have a blast. This is a team of guys that do everything for you. They drive you , they cook , by the way excellent typical food, they are your rafting and adventures guides , the photographer, they eat with you and tell you stories and history of the place , the fauna , and flora etc, The experience is amazing ! Arturo , Fernando Negro and Jesus Andres were the best. Thanks for an amazing 2days

I liked pretty much everything here. The facilities are pleasant and well- maintained; the staff do a great job and are friendly. I enjoyed the free breakfast at a nearby soda, but I believe that is being discontinued. The staff are able to arrange a bird-watching tour with a very variable guide. There was reliable hot water, too!

Centrally located, with a bakery, a cheese shop and a Papa Johns within a stone throw from the motel. It has a courtyard with hammocks and chairs to sit and relax. Has an excellent eating area that is part of a restaurant within the hotel. For breakfast you can order an American style meal, typical Tico style, or even "campesino" style, which is unique. This is included in the stay cost. The rooms are small, and the bathrooms are average for this area (i.e., no high expectations). The staff were very attentive, and they referred us onto someone who picked up our clothes and washed then (2 loads) and brought them back in 4 hours later on a Friday night. Nice!

The breakfast was amazing. They really spoiled me with all the choices for food and service was really nice. The staff was amazing and accommodating, very kind and pleasant. I hate to even say "staff", this hotel is more like a warm family environment, which I like. But I was able to stay in a cabin that was very peaceful and quiet and have my alone time.They also graciously did my laundry the same day and I wholeheartedly appreciated that.

    World class canyons!!! Team at Pure Canyoning were epic! Rafting the Pacure River (top 10) in the world Coffee, wildlife, few great spots to eat (Chani, Honey Dipper, Santo Pan etc) And best of all not surrounded by tourists!!

    We did a tour to the cheesemaking farm Herencia, high up on the slope of the volcano. Getting there via Google maps was a bit tedious but on the way back we got better directions - via Santa Cruz and Torito. The tour is a great experience! On the way back we visited the national monument at Guayabo. We also tried to reach the Aquiares waterfall, but this is a bit difficult to find and we did not get there in time, had to turn back. The last stretch is climbing over big boulders along the riverbed.

    Very nice lodge with spacious clean rooms. Accommodating host gives many tips for activities in this area. Breakfast was also delicious (with view of the vulcano). Unfortunately, we were only for a stopover, next time we will stay longer.
