A wonderful market - a wide range of stalls including a wide variety of food stalls, we spent 4 hours there. Compared to my visit 20 years ago - it was more ‘artisan’ work to see then - and different to other places. Now far too packed with food stalls, & same type of stalls to be found in any large market anywhere. Hard to find the real artisans of Hobart & Tasmania. I am from NSW and brought my cousin on this 3 week trip. Salamanca was to be a must see, but would have been better spending the day travelling further down the coast. The apartment was HUGE! So much space we could really spread out at the end of our 10 day drive around Tassie. We really appreciated having underground, secured parking for our rental car. And laundry facilities in the apartment were super helpful! The bed was comfy and the linens were good. Kitchen was well appointed. Bathroom was spacious.
