We were there from 14th to 18th July during the festival of Santa Rosalia. The streets on procession night were blocked off and thousands of people joined the walk from the Cathedral to the waterfront. The atmosphere was great. Palermo has many beautiful restaurant areas.Guest review byTaniaAustralia - 4.0
We were really disappointed of Catania !
We were really disappointed of Catania ! It was really dirty and dilapidated. Nothing is well maintened and public transport are bad. A lot of things are abandoned and seems really old. Just one day here is a sufficient time to visit the city. BUT you need to stay one night in the old city. Because, when the night comes, the city becomes really nice and crowded !Guest review byPaquereauFrance - 10.0
Siracusa is a beautiful seaside town on the Mediterranean.
Siracusa is a beautiful seaside town on the Mediterranean. It is full of history and the little lane ways come alive in the late afternoon where you can find a never ending selection of restaurants and bars.Guest review byIamWillAustralia - 10.0

We were in the area of Taormina for three days and could have used more time- because there are so many other places to visit as side trips as well. Lovely town - crowded in the evenings but we still were able to find availability at good restaurants. Besides the high end shopping there were some lovely boutiques as well. Wonderful bakeries and cafes. Cable car down to the beach. Many hotels have walking paths to town , but may have to walk in road a bit for some of them.Guest review bySarah - 10.0
Cefalu had something of everything, old & new.
Cefalu had something of everything, old & new. Lovely beaches, the most exquisite historic city and next to it the modern town. Nice beach clubs on the waterfront. Excellent restaurants and very affordable. Family friendly holidays and easy to walk everywhere. It was a lovely experienceGuest review byJM FerreiraSouth Africa - 8.0

I love both beaches and lively city centers at the same time and Trapani can offer that. A perfect cable car trip directly from Trapani to historic Erice. A beautiful sunset and a view of the illuminated Trapani. Interesting places in the vicinity: Segesta and Selinunte archeological parks, the very unusual Nuova Gibellina (plus Cretto di Buri) and bustling Palermo with majestic monuments. There are plenty of great restaurants in Trapani. I can't miss the Meno Tredici gelateria in the harbor and the great arancini at Al Pollero da Roberto.Guest review byMiroslavCzech Republic - 8.0

Indications for people who driving there are poor, I was lost, I pass in front the entrance without realizing it, poor indicators. I stop and I find another car lost too. The car parking too expensive, the entrance tickets expensive, I went really early before there were too many people, I was able to take selfies for the more important monuments without any wait line. You must be ready with plenty of water, if you are going in summer time because its a really long walk under very strong summer lights. I guess you must see it at least once on your life, like everything relevant from our pass times. Obviously I am a simply tourist without knowledge about architecture. For those that understand I am sure must be fascinating.Guest review byencarniUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely old town with wonderful beach and crystal clear water. Vast amount of restaurants to choose from but the more popular ones you need to book in advance. Our son's have allergies and most of the restaurants could not cater for them, but a big thank you to La Chimera restaurant who did. If you plan to visit the nature reserve or walk along the coast make sure to have decent walking footwear as it is very uneven and rocky.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Giardini Naxos is a bus ride away from Taormina.
Giardini Naxos is a bus ride away from Taormina. We enjoyed this quiet town, the restaurants were good, especially Trattoria da Lino. The beaches are stunning, even though they mostly have little stones, the water was clean and refreshing!Guest review byGillianGermany - 10.0
You can rent bikes, electric ones if it's too hot.
You can rent bikes, electric ones if it's too hot. They are available at several locations. The prices are reasonable and you can travel the entire island. The water is clean and it is worth stopping here for a day.Guest review byVesnaSlovenia
