Lovely little coastal town.
Lovely little coastal town. We had two nights here which was just the right amount. The highlight was the beautiful coastal walk to Portofino and we then took the ferry back to see the coastline from the sea. Very nice hotel in a good position.
Very nice hotel in a good position. Short walk to the beach, buses and ferry’s. Hotel is on a hill so expect an uphill walk back from town but it is quite easy (I’m 73). Lots of bars and restaurants in the centre. Bus (or walk for the energetic) to portofino. A bustling town full of character with a long promenade to explore. Ferries go regularly to both Portofino and Cinque Terre but its also nice to walk the coastal path around to Portofino. Pros: Good location , not far from the city . Nice interior and it's remodeled. Fair price Cons: 1- The host didn't reply to my messages .I got a message for the checkin , and the check out and ignore completely my 2 messages . When I arrived they had a foldable bed , when I opened it it didn't have any sheets on it . I was expecting to have white bed sheets , and covers like the one in the bedroom bed .I've sent a message to the host , but they didn't reply the whole stay. The day before the checkout , I've asked if I can get a late checkout , instead of checking out at 10 Am , also ignored my message , and never received any replies. 2- The parking is very very tight and is on the next street . It was a bit of a puzzle to find the parking and the keys , even though he had a video showing it . Which kinda helped but was still a puzzle :) 3- The train passes right by the appartment , luckily noise does not bother me , but I won't recommend it if someone is a light sleeper.Guest review bycharbelUnited States

In the centre of Santa Margherita Ligure, very close to restaurants, beach and ice cream :-). The host is amazing. Even if this is not a hotel, the host makes you feel spoiled and you get a bit of that 5 star hotel feeling, where you appreciate the hotel, facilities and stuff but the extra actually comes from how the staff makes you feel. Good location, easy to go and catch a ferry or bus to Portofino. Parking in the street around 30€ a day, which is normal for this area in Italy. They keep a place for their guests, and you can leave it there until some car goes.
