We had a wonderful stay at the Mt. Gardner Inn. The hosts were attentive, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The inn is within easy walking distance to the restaurants and shops in Winthrop. We would stay here again!

The spa services were excellent, accommodating and very professional.
The staff were always informative about weather, events and what their facility was running.
Daily posts about detailed weather break downs at the front counter.
Their game room was large and well in order as well.
They had a well equipped gym as well in their lower levels.

Twisp is a good location for exploring the greater area and this is probably the better location in Twisp. Good breakfast and welcoming accommodation.

The town of Winthrop is one of the many unique small out of the way places that has a fun character harkening back to the early days of this nation. The Town has maintained its small western town identity that can take visitors back to a more simple way of life. Even though it is a bit on the touristy side, it is worth the visit. Most impressive is the mountain range that Winthrop is a gateway to. The North Cascades Highway winds through some of the most awe inspiring landscapes in the USA with its rock formations, lakes, rivers, and dams not to mention the mind numbing hiking trailheads all along the road. My wife and I went for the hikes and were not disappointed. With Winthrop as our base, we could have spent a week hiking.

The people that worked in the cafes, shops, restaurants were exceptional and gave us great service.
The town was clean and beautiful. There was a variety of food, drink, and shopping. The staff at the raft rental were knowledgeable and fun.

Winthrop is a cute little western style town.
Winthrop is a cute little western style town. If you like to meander through shops then this is the place for you. We like to hike and bike and thought the trail maps were very limited as we prefer not to ride on roads or mountain bike, just easy trails. The State Park is beautiful and the lake is large enough to fish, SUP, boat and swim. We will definitely return to the town, as camping opportunities abound.

I absolutely hated this place.
I absolutely hated this place. The room was full of mosquitoes but yet we never got bit outside. The buildings were all in need of repair. The eaves were broken. The pools were all dirty one hot tub was not working. The small pool actually had a dead rabbit stuck in the filter. When we told someone about it nothing was done. We left that same day and forfeited one days stay. We all vomited on the way home three times. I still get an upset stomach every time I think about it. Our family does not make much money and we spent a lot of money here. The money we spent on the e-bikes was not worth it either. In my opinion this is a dead resort and needs to be buried.

Winthrop is a real "western." town.
Winthrop is a real "western." town. We went to the Old School house brewery for a great hamburger and beer made at this facility. Winthrop is right on the road to perhaps the most beautiful mountains in Washington. For motorcycle riders, hiway 20 over Washington Pass to Winthrop is the number one rated ride in the state.
The owners are doing a great job upgrading the property. It could be a fantastic resort destination. As it is, it is comfortable and very much pet friendly, relaxing, by the river. One of the best locations in Winthrop for pet friendly lodging. New beds are super comfortable. If the owners keep at it, this could be a super go-to location for a resort location with restaurant (not there yet), bar (not there yet) and a place for events (not ready yet). But now as it is, for a week or a few days, a great relaxing stay.
We did not use the breakfast service.
We were in Winthrop to snow shoe, so the location was perfect. We were able to walk out the door and get to the snow shoe trail in just a short walk. We were also a 10 min drive from Pearrygin Lk SP, which has some great snow shoe trails.
We appreciated the no-contact check-in procedure. Very efficient.
We were disappointed the pool wasn't open yet, but the hot tub was available. We made a request and they were quick to respond. The staff were great, and the location is amazing. Beautiful scenery and Winthrop is one of our favorite towns. We're looking forward to taking our grandchildren there later this year.
Wow. This place is amazing. The cabin is cozy and warm, even with unusually cold temperatures in the valley, and the layout is perfect for preparing our own meals. The bed was comfortable, and the place was clean. It's also close to everything in Winthrop, so we could just walk from there.
Winthrop is a very cute town where the locals have 4+ generations of history in this western river town. The Hotel is charming, situated along the river. A great stop-over on our way south. Several restaurants are closed on Tuesday, but we located a good meal
Great location, spacious rooms with "river view", big parking near room. Nice surroundings. Very good access to North Cascade National Park. Not typicall "network" hotel. Relatively good breakfast served in friendly hours.
very clean. Kitchen area good set up for simple meals using microwave oven. Cute deck to sit on to relax eat a meal. Lots of hiking trails around the area, restaurants close by. Winthrop and Twisp fun to visit
Clean and spacious room. Car parking spaces and landscaped lawn and trees. Accessible from main road and centre of Winthrop not far away. Great Pizza place just a very short distance away.
Great little Inn right outside Winthrop. We loved the creek access in the back. Perfect for the beautiful weather and very dog-friendly. Breakfast was also very good with lots of options.
Everything works, lots of pillows on the beds, good location. The hotel has an easy self checkin process. There was a fairly large fridge in the room and also a microwave.
Lovely breakfast, great location, close on foot to Winthrop and by car to the cascade north trails. Comfy cabin too with a nicely sized kitchenette and ensuite.
The property was very quiet and clean. It is centrally located to the town of Winthrop and not far from Wisp. Both towns had nice shops and good restaurants.
Excellent location steps away from shops and restaurants of downtown Winthrop. Loved the hot tub. Cozy design of cabin. Perfect for couples to get away 🙂
