Wrangham House, hotel in Wold Newton

Wrangham House Hotel is a unique Georgian country house in the pretty village of Hunmanby, a few miles inland from Filey on the Yorkshire coast.

We were upgraded to a splendid courtyard room. Super huge bathroom with free standing bath and fabulous shower. Lots of towels and toiletries. So big there was an armchair there. Beautifully furnished room with a large sleigh bed. Hospitality tray. Excellent dinner and breakfast. In the centre of Hunmanby but parking is available. What a find!

The Southgate B&B was exceptional. Very modern, smart and clean with all covid measures in place but not in your face. The facilities in the room were excellent. The breakfast was one of the best we've ever had in a B&B and everything was beautifully presented. The hosts Chris and Julie were very friendly and accommodating.

A small quiet village in the countryside but near enough to the coast. A good base to visit Bempton cliffs RSPB site. There is a pub in the village which serves food a couple of evenings a week, but we didn’t get chance to go.
