The staff were very nice and always smiling and always spoke when they passed by you. We personally liked the location, near food and the parkway and other things were close to go to. Loved that the bathroom was very clean, and plenty of space to set your things out.

There are a lot of weird, nasty looking people around, comprised of a variety of dirty homeless people, hippies, and sexual deviants. They generally keep to themselves, however, and we always felt safe exploring Asheville's many fine attrations.

We went to the Biltmore Estate . THe city of Asheville has a lot to offer tourists. We ate at Olive Garden and Mellow Mushroom and were satisfied with both. The city is very attractive. It has an extensive revitalized downtown with lots of trendy shops.

Asheville is a beautiful city with friendly people and lots to do. No one I've ever talked to has had anything but the best things to say about this town! Everything is compact and easy to get to. We ate at Ida's Bistro - food was good, dessert was great, but service was not so good (server didn't know the specials and then presented them badly, he seemed indifferent. We heard the manager describe the same specials to the table next to ours and the description sounded Sooooo much better!). We also had dinner at the Bistro at Biltmore's Antler Hill Village. Was a little pricey, but the quality of the food was really great, and the service spot-on.

This was our first visit to Asheville due to attending a wedding. We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in the Downtown area and everything was in an easy 3-4 block walking distance. We had no idea that this area was such a gem as a foodie place with the diverse selection of good restaurants (Spanish, French, Japanese, Brasilian, Italian, Mexican etc.), wine bars, craft breweries and interesting stores and shops plus the history with the Vanderbilt family influence as well as the four nearby colleges/universities. This is a fun place that we intend to return to in the future.

Absolutely lovely town with warm and friendly people.
Absolutely lovely town with warm and friendly people. It’s a little chilly in the winter so dress in layers. If you plan to visit the Biltmore it’s a whole day trip visit the winery without kids cause the lines are long especially on weekends. Downtown parking is crazy on the weekends so pay attention, be ready to Walk a little and if you visit Double D’s have cash on hand. Sometimes it rains unexpectedly have a umbrella handy

Great food and art options.
Great food and art options.
Laid back mtn. town atmosphere is great!
Not so great is the amount of homeless and mentally ill people who make you feel unsafe.
I was followed by one such individual but that’s on me because I was out at midnight looking for food options.
Clean, updated, great location if traveling by car. Nothing really in walking distance though. Breakfast is good but not great. They have omelettes you heat up, and a waffle maker and some yogurt and pastries, juice and coffee. But for the price I don't expect a restaurant. TV has about 130 channels. Downtown Asheville is a pretty short 5-7 minute drive too. I like this Best Western Hotel enough that I've stayed twice now.
Breakfast was average. Server was professional and provided great customer service. Location is ideal for those visiting Biltmore Estate and downtown Asheville. T.G.I.F Fridays restaurant attached to hotel was subpar. Took quite awhile to get meal and when arrived cooked broccoli was raw, lettuce in salad was brown. Server was apologetic for taking so long to bring our meal.
Location to the downtown was just minutes away..also cheap option to eat...Cook Out was close by..staff was great..some construction going on on the front of the hotel..but work was pretty quiet..
Room was nice, very clean..
Just no hot breakfast....but had coffee, juices with fruit and snack bars..bummer no donuts..lol.
We had a great stay here while in Asheville. The location is great as it's more affordable than staying downtown and it's easy to get around. Check in & check out was super easy. We also appreciated the quiet, comfortable room to live while the two of us worked remotely. Wifi was solid for both of us to work too!
We had a room at the front of the hotel and the street noise was horrible. There was a loud boom from a mechanicle room every 15 minutes. The bed was comfy, the staff were great, breakfast kinda sucks. It is a great location if you are there for downtown fun but lower your standards when you relax in your room.
Excellent location for this dated (vintage would be an overstatement) hotel. Parking is included and you can walk to just about anywhere in downtown Asheville. Clean, comfortable beds, a good value for a quick overnight stay in Asheville. Nice views from the top floors.
Clean room, friendly staff. This was our first time staying in Asheville. The hotel was close to downtown. All the sites around Asheville were easier accessible within minutes by car.
Excellent location to downtown Asheville. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean and updated. Restaurant & Bar were very good. I would stay here again!
Location smack in the middle of downtown Asheville so you can walk everywhere! Built in a historic building, the hotel keeps some flair from the past business located inside.
Nice and clean hotel with indoor/outdoor pool. Fresh breakfast. Amazing location close to downtown and Blue Ridge Parkway. Modern renovation, new furniture and comfy beds.
The staff was lovely and the hotel was very clean. The shuttle service to downtown Asheville was very convenient and took the hassle out of parking in downtown.
