Fujikawaguchiko Resort Hotel, hotel in Fujikawaguchiko

Located in Fujikawaguchiko, a 19-minute walk from Fuji-Q Highland, Fujikawaguchiko Resort Hotel has accommodations with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant.

I personally loved the Japanese style rooms, however one member of our party found it quite uncomfortable, and the opportunity to wear a yukata throughout the hotel was lovely. They also have a small selection of amenities just in front of the lifts where it's a help-yourself style set of drawers (this is where you find the yukata). The food served for breakfast was fantastic! We actually went up for a second helping. The location is lovely with a view of Mt fuji just behind the building so if you're lucky enough to get a room on that side you'll be in for a treat. It's only a 15min walk to the bus station (the hotel has a shuttle till 10am for guests or they can hold your luggage till 3pm) and a 20min walk to Lake Kawaguchiko however for views of Mt Fuji from the lake you have to walk to the North side which can add on another 15/20mins. The on-site onsen was lovely with men-only and women-only baths, I only managed to go once but it was very relaxing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in.

Royal Hotel Kawaguchiko, hotel in Fujikawaguchiko

Located on the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko, Royal Hotel Kawaguchiko features hot-spring baths and rooms with a Japanese-style interior, some offering views of Mount Fuji.

Right beside the legendary phashi bridge, and conveniently located near a lot of late night restaurants (which is very difficult to find in Kawaguchiko). The rooms were beyond amazing, and exceptionally clean. The staff was friendly, and even the onsen had both indoor and bedrock open-air baths. Overall it delivered way more than what we paid or expected.

Located in Fujikawaguchiko, 1.8 mi from Lake Kawaguchi, Hananoyado Yumefuji features each room with a private garden with a terrace. Kawaguchiko Station is just a 5-minute walk away from the villa.

Best stay near fuji. The rooms were large and the location is walkable from the station. We loved the little touches like the Japanese style robes and welcome signs for the room. We played games on our little back deck and looked up at Fuji. The room was so clean and had a great onsen in the bathroom for personal use.

We rented a car and drove from Tokyo to Yamanashi and for us it was perfect. We were able to see all 5 lakes in one day going from one to the other in succession. The restaurants in the area offer a great variety of sushi, izakaya and bbq. There is also a great Omakase restaurant nearby the hotel called Fresh Water that offers a different experience to the usual tried and tested. On the day of our departure back to Tokyo we decided to swing by Fuji Q Highland with low expectations - the theme park is legit with a great Naruto Village, high octane rollercoaster rides and from our own experience a great haunted house that lasts the majority of an hour to walk through. Loved it. Would definitely revist the entire area.

Check the weather forecast before planning your trip to Kawaguchiko, as beside the view of Mt Fuji there's very little to do there, also restaurants are very rare and working hours is almost not existent, everything closes early or not open at all... so be mindful of the meals you should carry with you.

Beautiful, serene and scenic place. Must spend at least 2 full days to explore the beauty of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. You can buy the unlimited pass for the sightseeing buses(Red Line and Green Line) from Kawaguchiko station where you can hop on and hop off the tourists spots. The Red Line covers 20 tourist spots within Fujikawagichiko. The ride from 1st sto to last stop is only 27 minutes. The bus comes every 15 to 30 minutes at the designated stops. The service by the hotel staff were excellent and couldn't expect more than what they provided from the greetings on arrival to our departure after our stay. The room was comfortable, bigger than most of ryokans we stayed in the past. The kaiseki dinner was exceptional. Every single dish was tasty and beautifully presented. Highly recommend booking a private onsen on your arrival (very popular) if you want to experience Japanese onsen! They also provide shuttle service from and to Kawaguchiko station.

This hotel is gorgeous! And has stunning views right of Mt. Fuji - unfortunately we only stayed one night and wasn’t very visible in the morning however it cleared up during the day as we explored the town and I can only imagine the view you’d actually have if it was clear during your stay. It’s only a short walk from the station and a few near by restaurants. The rooms are quite big - biggest ones we’ve stayed in while travelling Japan. Staff are lovely and check in and out is very easy.

Awesome lake view from the hotel lobby and our own room. We stored our luggage before check-in and went off to explore. When we are back, the luggages were already placed in our room. We booked the private onsen which was great. Their public onsen is just as good and includes a sauna room. The staff will help you to park your car when you arrive.
