Check-in was super easy and it was nice having your own little private lodge. We also walked the trail on the property and it was beautiful and private. They cleaned our room daily and the AC worked very well to keep us cool on some 90+ °F in days. Breakfast was also lovely and had a great view of arenal. It was a very peaceful place to stay in good proximity to Mistico hanging bridges and downtown fortuna.

We liked the waterfall repelling, spent half a day at the rope swing, major highlight of the trip, didn't spend a lot of time in town, loved the Fortuna waterfall, didn't prefer the free hot springs. We are a family with 3 teenage boys. We would have liked more time here to explore and visit another hot spring/spa.

Fortuna was lots of fun. We went to hike at Mistico Arenal hanging bridges and visited the Don Olivo chocolate farm. They were both great outings! We also enjoyed local food and the pool at our hotel, Hotel Arenal Country Inn

Best: scenery, good tours, our local volcano tour guide was excellent, good history👍great hike! Enjoyed the Fortuna waterfall hike BUT beware of the steps…great hike but 500 steps DOWN, then 500 steps BACK UP!😉 beautiful falls and swimming area! Loved our zipline and rappel tour!! (Go Adventures!) And the hot springs across the street afterwards…ALL in the rain!🙃

The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was close to the local tours and the busses picked us up for trips to the Arenal volcano and to North Fields Coffee. The view of the volcano from the main lodge area was a treat, and the food was delicious. We would go back again!
The lodge had a beautiful garden and a great view. It was very relaxing to spend time in the hammock and chairs outside. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The location was far to walk to La Fortuna but there were still really good restaurants at walking distance and the Fortuna waterfall was very close too. We used Uber to get to town and ordered food to the hotel which was useful. The included breakfast was typical costa rican rice and beans and fruits and it was a highlight of the stay.
This property really stood out for us and we had a fantastic stay there for 2 nights. the rooms and facilities were modern and the natural thermal pools are great in the hotel. Our check in was great and Christopher (the valet) was very welcoming and super helpful. We had a great experience with Jose at the swim up bar as well where we had some food and drinks. the property is well located and very secure, I highly recommend it for anyone staying at la Fortuna.
The beds were comfortable and bathroom was basic but clean. The property is beautiful with a trail you can walk on down to the river and the staff is amazingly helpful and kind. The breakfast was delicious! We had dinner at the restaurant next door one evening and loved the food and vibe there as well. The hotel is a short drive to La Fortuna waterfall, Bogarin trail, Mistico Hanging bridge park, Arenal volcano and the hot springs.
Fabulous small hotel, beautiful garden, very nice staff (thank you Allan!), food was delicious (sometimes for a long wait but the place is so nice), nice singer every night, easy to go to the village of La Fortuna (5mn by taxi - 20mn walking)..

A to Z top notch resort hotel. Room, cleanliness, grounds design, facilities and a willing hands on helpful manager. The Eco Arenal in Hawaii would be $300/day. The most attractive aspect is that the grounds to the back and side are so extensive and untouched that the trails represent a true Costa Rican nature walk. In my 2 day stay I observed over 3 dozen species. It is 4-5 km from the town of La Fortuna.
The location on the edge of La Fortuna, by the forest, with a view of Arenal. All the friendly and helpful staff in Reception and in Acacia restaurant. The birdwatching opportunities from the restaurant. I highly recommend Armando the guide. He is nice, knowledgeable and he helped me take fantastic photos of sloths and frogs. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe at the Hotel. I will return!
The surroundings are magical and the cabin very spacious, huge glass walls to observe the surroundings. Beautiful location on the edge of the rainforest on the foothills, 5 min driving from the waterfall and outside of the town of La Fortuna. Excellent for birding, even the hotel grounds had so many species. Pretty pool and observation deck. If budget allows take the lodge with a pool and deck ;)
The grounds of this hotel are beautiful. We hung out by the pool and in the gazebo every morning and evening. The location is also very central, but not right in the hub of La Fortuna. Lots of restaurants nearby and a good grocery store right beside it. Most of the staff was very friendly. Diana was so helpful and provided excellent customer service - her English was very good.
There is no breakfast. It’s a new hotel so super clean and comfortable. The property feels secure as there is a gate that is locked at 6pm - only guests have the code. As two females this was important to us. And we walked everywhere in La Fortuna town from here very easily. Go to the chocolate shop! There is a great view of the Arenal volcano from the shared kitchen area.
Fabulous facilities. Well positioned for visiting La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano area. Staff was charming, professional and helpful. Rooms were beautiful and well equipped. Absolutely no issues with this hotel and happy to recommend it. Food in the restaurant was excellent - we ended up eating there both nights we stayed and the food and service were excellent.

As we drove up to the hotel we were greeted with a smile and friendly hello!The young man at the front desk was so welcoming and gave us all the info needed for our stay, very friendly. This is the best place to stay in Arenal/La Fortuna area! Even though it was raining and we didn’t get to see the Volcano, the hotel is beautiful and the staff is spectacular!

A nice place to stay not too far from the center of La Fortuna. If you are looking for a hotel outside the busy city center this is the place to be. The rooms are basic but good and clean. The breakfast is okay but not very special. The staff is friendly and helpful.
