Nice staff who were helpful/efficient with check in, leaving bags at the hotel, giving suggestions. Breakfast was ample and delicious (had great salmon for breakfast, wish I had tried their typical Finnish Karjalanpiirakka, etc). The room was a bit small but for one person it was perfect. It was quiet and very clean. Central location--only 10 min walk from the central station which will take you to/from the airport in 45-50 min.

Strolling around the streets of Helsinki will reveal an Empire-style of architecture, comparable to St. Petersburg. The greatest example of this is the green-domed Lutheran Cathedral which rises proudly out of the center of Senate Square.

Perfect destination to get acquainted with the famous Finnιsh culture, style and design. A walkable downtown and a very convenient way to move by the extremely accurate and clean public means of transport. Happy people loving outdoor activities, socializing throughout the long summer evenings at pubs and cafes, Perfect English spoken anywhere. Unforgettable coffee experience for coffee lovers in numerous famous brand shops. We loved especially "Johan & Nyström" in Kanavaranta district. Very good Finnish beers at Public Corners and Molly Malone's.

I was so lucky with the weather.
I was so lucky with the weather. The city center is small so you can walk around. Especially, I liked the Helsinki Catedral and the Orthodox church.
Don't forget to visit SUOMENLINNA island.
I also had delicious coffee and Cafe Enchante. You can stop by there and have their specialty coffee.

I loved Helsinki. As a lone tourist, I found it very safe.
I loved Helsinki. As a lone tourist, I found it very safe. Getting round was so easy with the public transport. I found it easier to get Finnish food at the markets, there was a range of restaurants, but many were foreign. Suomenlinna was so worth the visit. I got a 24 hour ABC ticket from the Airport and this covered my travel to the city by train, ferry to Suomenlinna the next day and various journeys on trams and metro for 24 hours. Brilliant value. Also pensioner rates are good.

We loved the library and the Music Centre and a wonderful coffee place called 'Roberts coffee' in the centre.
It felt very safe and had interesting buildings to walk around.
For me it was so bitterly cold and snowed twice - in April - and although I like snow I didn't enjoy the ice the following days. I need to travel to somewhere warm!
Food - OK; expensive.

Nice town, with great public transport. Many trip options.
Nice town, with great public transport. Many trip options. Fantastic idea of a library open to anyone, combing a cafe, reading room, games room together - you can get in for free and stay a long long, have coffe, read or play games. An option to by by ferry for a day to Tallin. A great museum on Suomelina island and a great day out, fantastic saunas, good food in the Market Hall.
Yes, is the cheapest but is a bit out of the city center, 40/50 min walking.
Rooms are good for being that big and also clean as all the rest, toilets and kitchens (there are on each floor). The staff doesn't take much effort, never out of their box. At the check-in they don't give you info about the city or even where the toilets are. Just make you sign in and give the key. I understand to give a tour is a bit too much for a big hostel but at least some basic info about how to move around such a big hostel!
the room was superb, breakfast was incredible perfect for my 3 days stay, Even i'm having the same breakfast everyday but it's just too good. walking distance to metro station, we've even tried to walk back from city center to hotel, which is about 20 mins and not too bad. the front view of the lake/river/sea was amazing as it was frozen during my visit - end Feb, early Mar. the elevator was quick and have nice view to the restaurant. had dinner there, all was good.
We came here for a conference and were very pleased with the hotel. The room was large and very clean. The breakfast was especially grand and we were able to try different things each day. The location is great for being in the city center and the people were extremely helpful at the front desk, especially as I needed to see a doctor and they were able to get me information on where to go and helped me get there.
There was an up to 2h free parking on the side of the road in front of the hotel, and it was free all night, it saved us. The parkings are not cheap in Helsinki.
24h grocery shop downstairs.
Typical Finnish apartment, soundproof and well ventilated. The third bed is in a little tiny space separated by a sliding door.
Blackout curtains.
Don't be misled by the looks of the building! This is a most modern hostel, with a great attitude to ecology and conscious consumption. It's not only the cheapest place in the Helsinki city center, but also one of the best. A beautiful neighbourhood, very close to the Viking ferry terminal and walking distance to the Market square.
The staff was very friendly and always ready to help. He also responses pretty fast. He is also very considerate as well. Very clean and spacious. Quiet neighborhood and modern building. It is 25 minutes drive from the city center and the airport but it is a great place.
You are all not invited to come enjoy this facility.😄
The hotel is situated in the lovely Katajanokka neighborhood of Helsinki, very close to the city center and easy to reach with public transportation from the airport. The rooms are clean and comfortable, albeit perhaps a bit dated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good and had plenty of choices.
Breakfast had a wide selection and food quality in general in the bistro was high and delicious. Room was great, bed and bath were perfect. We even got a couple hours of free parking after our stay 🙂
The hotel is within walking distance of the city center. And there is a lot of places to visit nearby.
Very good breakfast and good location, as hotel location is very good, we can reach most of tourist attractions by foot under nice weather in Helsinki. Really good experience in Helsinki. By the way, upper lounge in Hotel Kamp is very good, we had a nice time there, good food, good service.
This hotel is good for people which value design. Rooms are small but with smart and efficient design you do not feel any space limitation.
Although is not in the city center bus stop is in front of the hotel and you reach the main railway station in 15 min, busses are regular.
Only the location - near to Hanken and I had some business there so that's why I booked this hotel as well. Just 3-4 mins of walk. It's also near to city center and port. Also, the flexible timing for having a breakfast bag for eating for fast.
Friendly, professional staff. A clean and conveniently located, city center hotel. Tram station and taxi ranks in front of the hotel. Convenience store and fast food close by. Walking distance to bus and train stations, shops, museum, etc.
We wanted a city center hotel and the location was great but the cost was high considering we slept in a windowless basement room. I really liked the rain shower. Beds were comfortable and clean. Staff was very helpful.
The location of the hotel is in a mainly office area. If you are plannign to go to Estonia, is very near the harbour and ferries that go to Tallinn, it's walking distance, but it's far from the city center.
The room was clean and big. the washroom was very tidy. Although the location is a bit away from city centre, there are sufficient food restaurants, 24h grocery shop and bars close to the hotel.
I like the hotel very much. lt is located at the city center and close to main attractions. Breakfast was yummy. If I were to go back to Helsinki, I would come back to the hotel to stay.
Although the hotel is kind of worn out, showing its age, the services are great and it provides good comfort.
It is very conveniently located near the railway station and city center.
