Beautiful setting, lovely pool and garden. Inviting living room and the breakfast room was very nice. My dietary restrictions were accommodated with an amazing breakfast. I was even able to cook tofu with Italian seasonings which turned out great! My bedroom was large and roomy. I was given a ride to the beginning of the Via Degli Dia in the morning and also a load of laundry was washed for me which was very appreciated!!

We recently stayed in this nice, clean, and comfortable apartment in Italy for our vacation. The apartment itself met our expectations and provided a pleasant stay for us. One standout feature was the gorgeous pool, perfect for those seeking relaxation.
We chose this particular apartment because we wanted to bring our puppy along for the holiday. However, we were slightly disappointed as the advertised big area shown in the pictures was not available for us to use freely. It turns out that it was actually the owner's land, located in the same field as the pool. As a result, we were only able to access the pool area during specific hours, from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm. This meant that we couldn't enjoy the big area for walks or playtime with our dog in the evenings. If you are planning to bring a pet, it is important to note this restriction.
Furthermore, due to the apartment's location in the fields, a car is necessary to get around. There isn't much opportunity for walking, as the nearby parks are not very appealing, and most do not allow dogs. However, we did find Borgo San Lorenzo to be a more interesting town compared to Scarperia, which was closeby.
One challenge my husband faced was finding suitable running routes in the area. Since he had to run on the roads, it wasn't as convenient or enjoyable for him. Nonetheless, Francesca, the owner, was always available when we needed assistance, and she was kind and helpful throughout our stay.
Overall, our vacation was relaxing, which was exactly what we needed. While there were some disappointments regarding the limited access to the big area, the remote location, and the lack of suitable walking paths, we still had a pleasurable experience. However, we were also looking forward to returning to the comfort of our own home, parks and running paths after our stay.

The apartment is located in walking distance from the historic city center and only 7 minutes from Mugello. This makes it a perfect choice for someone who wants to combine the iconic Mugello and some city tourism. The host was very friendly and prompt in his replies. He accommodated our late arrival and everything was smooth and stress-free, so we could enjoy are stay in Scarperia and Mugello.
Beautiful location and views. Generous and ample variety for breakfast. Warm, welcoming and informative hostess with good language fluency. Super comfortable beds, wish I had a mattress as nice! Easy to find parking. Antiquita Osteria next door was a real plus, but reservations strongly advised. Close proximity to Mugello Circuit race course, MUGOT (Museum of the Gothic Line) and Scarperia.
Breakfast was lovely-meats, cheese, bread, cereal, croissants, fresh squeezed juice, cappuccinos made to order. My kids loved the cases of model race cars as well as the playground across the street. We walked into Scarperia and had scenic drives over to Pisa and Florence while we visited the area.
Though I had a late arrival, there was no problem to get into the hotel. The staff was vey friendly and helpful. The Locanda is an elderly charming centrally located hotel. The rooms are ok, clean and with all necessary comfort.
