If you are thinking about a trip to Halong Bay, do yourself a favor and cross the bridge to Hong Gai to find a great place to stay. It is only a ten minute Grab ride from the tourist attractions in Halong Bay. If you choose to stay at the Halong Boutique Hotel, you have made an excellent choice. It is a beautiful hotel offering very spacious and comfortable rooms at a fantastic price. The staff will go out of its way to see to all your needs and answer any questions you may have. I am happy that I and my partner chose to stay there.

The location is walkable to Sun World or just a short inexpensive ride with Grab. The swimming pool is nice and well maintained. The view from the room is beautiful and stunning. Nice and cozy place located on a hill. If you ride a motorbike, it’s a perfect choice, but can be hard to walk there every day. The room was clean, beds are soft, they provide us with towels, soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrush. There’s a large tv in the room.

Facilities are in good condition. The host is really friendly, thoughtful and careful for guest arrangement. The location is near center of city, near market some big banks and shops. Worth for each penny. Will come again for next trip. :-).

The hotel is located in the center of Hon Gai, near Vincom center and Ha Long I market. You could take about 10 minutes to walk to the beach. But if you want to go to Hon Gai beach, you should rent a motorbike. The staff is friendly. We arrived in Ha Long earlier than the estimated arival time but he helps us check in without extra fees.

    It is a big city with a lot to offer.

    It is a big city with a lot to offer. The draw card is the boat trip On the bay but the weather makes a huge impact on level of enjoyment. The day of our trip rained ALL day so the trip to the beach at the end was pointless whereas we would have liked more time kayaking as we were wet anyway. Chops and Hops had great food and drink, unfortunately the smoking at surrounding tables while we were eating was a hard no thank you. We used grabs to easily adventure around the city.

    The mountains are beautiful - but dirty.

    The mountains are beautiful - but dirty. The water was totally polluted and you could not swim in it . Every cruise ship empties their drainage and dirty water into the sea, every day for about a 100 ships. Really disappointing. There is no reason to go for more than one day, just to paddle and see the mountains. The cruise is very expensive and this tour is too inflated , overrated and over priced.

    We did a one day tour out of Hanoi, but decided to stay the night in Ha Long. I really do not recommend the one day tour on a boat. It was too crowded, one boat after the other, all going to the same places. We had to cue to enter a cave which is really not worth while visiting. My proposal would be to stay 2 days / 1 night on land, enjoy the scenery from the main land and enjoy the local life.

    I loved our experience on the Hera Luxury Cruise. Interiors beautiful. Mr. Minh was amazing. Staff all very helpful The food delicious. Ha long Bay exceptional natural beauty. Transport to and from cruise perfect thanks to Ms. Hanna Would recommend two nights.

    Our stay aboard the Genesis Luxury Regal Cruise was a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. From the moment we stepped aboard, we were impressed by the elegance and comfort of the vessel. The cabins were spacious, modern, and beautifully designed, complete with private balconies that offered breathtaking views of Halong Bay throughout the journey. The service was consistently warm and attentive; staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and well cared for. The itinerary was thoughtfully arranged, giving us the opportunity to explore caves, kayak through serene waters, and take in the natural beauty of the bay, all at a relaxed pace. Dining onboard was a highlight, with fresh, well-prepared meals served in a stylish setting. While there were a few minor areas where the experience could be fine-tuned, such as smoother boarding logistics and slightly more variety in the menu, the overall stay exceeded expectations. In summary, Genesis Luxury Regal Cruises provided a luxurious, scenic, and relaxing way to experience Halong Bay. It’s a perfect choice for those seeking a premium, all-inclusive escape with exceptional service and stunning surroundings.

    the cruise does not move anywhere . it just stayed in mid waters one place and just moved once in 24 hours..... thats it didnt knew that ... no beach nothing nothing to swim ,,,its just in front of your cruise ...pool was too small ...only for few people ... kids can enjoy thats all .. not good cruise

    The breakfast was good - big size portions and offered alternatives for vegetarians. You had an option of western or Vietnamese breakfast so everyone was catered for. Juice and english breakfast tea was a nice addition. The staff were really friendly and helpful - they helped us book our tours to Ha Long Bay and allowed us to have free late check out. The room service food was really nice and affordable prices. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are interested in visiting the bays as the hotel is not far from the port.

    Nice clean comfortable hotel which has rooms with balconies offering lovely views overlooking Ha Long Bay! The hotel is nicely furnished and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. We chose this hotel as it is very near to where the overnight cruises depart from. Breakfast was included and again you can get some great views from the top floor of the hotel where breakfast is served! Staff were very friendly and helpful! The hotel kept our luggage for us whilst we went on a one night cruise.

    The hotel is a nice building. The rooms clean and comfortable. For 4 stars the service isn't quite what you expect. The staff are lovely but the access to service from staff isn't quite what's expected from a 4 star hotel. The pool wasn't available when we stayed there which was a shame as Ha long city itself is a bit like the benidorm or Vietnam. So if you aren't into late night beach dance music clubs then maybe stay on a boat or stay to just see the bay and then head somewjere else.
