From the top of Table Mountain to the colourful Bo Kaap quarter, and from the Victoria & Albert Waterfront to the modern business district, Cape Town blends multicultural influences and beautiful nature.

Located on the Cape of Good Hope, the city was founded in 1652 by a Dutch trading company as a way-station for ships travelling to the East Indies. With the settlement process, all sorts of foreign plants were introduced, including the grapes in the famous Cape Winelands District, just outside of Cape Town.
Cape Town’s history does have some darker periods, and some of its memorable places from this time deserve to be visited: Robben Island jail, the City Hall from which Nelson Mandela gave his first public speech, and the statues of the 4 South African Nobel Peace Prize winners on the V&A Waterfront.

Cape town use to be a fun city.
Cape town use to be a fun city. Now it’s just too expensive and there are no beautiful views anymore as everywhere you go it’s construction sites. It’s not even safe anymore. However, as a solo traveler is was easy to get around and I still enjoyed the beach, the cape wheel not so much as the view was not as amazing as it used to be when it was at its previous location. we absolutely loved the food/ the wine/ the views and trips around Cape Town. We booked visits via the Red Bus tour and yes, it might be a bit of a cliché but it was so cool. many things to so with kids as well. we had a great week. our apartment was located between the water front and Long St which allowed us to do a lot on foot. booking a uber was very complicated so if we really needed it, we took a taxi (very nice guy named Coffee +27724003680). highly recommended place to visitGuest review bySandrine - 10.0

Food, Food, glorious Food!! A GEM with some of the best restaurants in SA.... and maybe the world!! South Africans can dish up a FLAVA SENSATION!! Sitting in a magnificent bar, sipping a spicy Mojito whilst overlooking the coast, crashing waves and a sunset exploding with colour. One of the best holiday spots in the world! Cape Town has everything from fantastic food, stunning beaches, shopping, culture and entertainment. The best part is without a doubt the scenery, ranging from Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Gardens, Chapman's Peak drive, and so much more. Other destinations within a 1 to 2 hour drive from Cape Town are the Cape Winelands, West Coast, Cape Point, False Bay and Hermanus, to name only a few. Whether you are a foodie, an adventurer, a beachbum or a nature lover, the Cape Peninsula has it all.
