We liked the waterfall repelling, spent half a day at the rope swing, major highlight of the trip, didn't spend a lot of time in town, loved the Fortuna waterfall, didn't prefer the free hot springs. Enjoyed the Fortuna waterfall hike BUT beware of the steps…great hike but 500 steps DOWN, then 500 steps BACK UP!😉 beautiful falls and swimming area! Loved our zipline and rappel tour!! (Go Adventures!) And the hot springs across the street afterwards…ALL in the rain!🙃 Loved our hotel Arenal Rabfer! Walkability! Worst: DRIVING, roads, local drivers and scooters! The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was close to the local tours and the busses picked us up for trips to the Arenal volcano and to North Fields Coffee. The view of the volcano from the main lodge area was a treat, and the food was delicious. We would go back again!

Volcan areal is very close and you can also visit the hot springs close by. The hotel offers a free frog tour in the dark, which was a great experience. It takes place on the hotel grounds and there are many frogs to be found. Normals and venomous ones, the guide was knowlegeable and told a lot about the animals and the plants, I really recommend to stay here to visit the La Fortuna area.JonasGermany
