Never seen a city with so many tram routes. Wheras Vienna has more uniform buildings and seems to be laid out in a grid, Prague looks like it was built without any town planners, higgly piggely, great fun and easy to get lost in.
Met many friendly tourists and locals there including Scotsmen on their way to the European football championships

I liked the history and architecture of this city, I spent hours in museums and galleries. I used the Metro to get around, very easy and cheap. We had a lovely meal at the Kampa Park restaurant to celebrate my husbands birthday, but tended to eat at local restaurants and cafés serving traditional food and drink. Loved the beer and I am not normally a beer drinker.
Did a tour in an old Morris Minor car which was great fun and one of my highlights.
Hated the crowds, just too may people - tours groups, schools parties everywhere!!!
Avoid the main tourist spots!!

Plenty of good varieties and places to eat.
Lots of things to see. A few tourist trap like things around as you would expect.
Pretty busy this trip being spring. In the winter months its Little quieter but still nice.
Very tolerant city, I think.
Cobble stone walking paths not so great on bad knees but it is a historic city.
Take the usual travel precautions walking around. I felt safe at night in the main areas.

It is very romantic city with an incredible architecture.
It is very romantic city with an incredible architecture. It has also so many cultural events on offer. We were staying right in the centre and simply could not enough of the beauty that was surrounding us.
The location couldn't have been much better, we walked almost everywhere. The Astronomical Clock and Old Town Square were just around the corner. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel arranged for a car to pick us up on arrival which was a nice change of pace after taking trains all over Germany. It was only 390 CZK so not super expensive. The room was large and clean, breakfast was wonderful. We arrived to a welcome note and chocolates. If I visit Prague in the future this will be where I stay again.
It was such a nice experience staying at this hotel. The location is great, actually it's very close to the Old Town Square and the National Museum.
The breakfast was fantastic with a lot of alternatives.
Also, the staff was very attentive, especially at the front desk, and the facilities were really awesome. Our suite was really nice and the bed very comfortable. Besides, I loved many of the hotel decorations.
If I return to Prague anytime soon, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again.
This Hotel is located in the nice and calm neighbourhood Holesovice some 4km north of the old town square. To get to the city centre you can take the tram (stop some 300m away) which will only take approx. 15mins. Our room and the Hotel in general was really clean and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was included and very delicious and very varied. Parking was also free, either in the underground car park or opposite the Hotel entrance in the street. So good value for your money.
Good location. Walking distance to old Town Square & Charles Bridge. Close to supermarket "Billa"(500m) There are one Chinese & Vietnam restaurant inside the mall opposite to the hotel (300m) together with a small grocery. Close to metro, light rail& bus station. Uber to the Castle & Lenon Wall is cheap. It a good choice in summer afternoons. Go Sedlec Ossuary & St Barbara church is excellent for one day trip. You will never forget for sure. Breakfast is great.
It was all very good. These guys run a hotel business at scale (19 venues across Prague), so they have a lot of experience with hotels. It was clean. Access control via code. Tea and coffee in the room (although not being replenished for a 5-night stay). The place is located 5 mins away from the Old town square. This is both a pro and a con, because of all the crowds around (room was quiet though). The bed was big and comfortable (3 different size pillows).
Hotel is well located opposite to Central station and major attractions, old town square, Wenceslas square etc. can be reached walking for 10-15 mins Max. It's very convenient. Rooms are basic but has everything that we need. Breakfast was great. Staff is really helpful. They provided me information on where to eat, what to see, where to exchange money etc. They even helped me with changing big amount of CZK into small money. It was a fabulous stay
Room was lovely, overlooking a small square and you could see church towers. The walls are 2 feet thick so very quiet. Reception desk staff were wonderful! Iana was very helpful. We loved the welcome gifts, very thoughtful.
Location of the hotel is perfect. We easily walked everywhere. It is only 75 yards from the old town square. Would definitely stay there, room 22, again.
Breakfast buffet was remarkable.
We loved everything about this hotel! Firstly, the location, which is right in the city centre, so we walked everywhere. Secondly, the room itself - it was very spacious and clean, same as the hotel. Breakfast was great too, lots to choose from. There is also a supermarket at the Old Town square, which is 2 minutes away from the hotel. We literally don’t have any remarks about the accommodation.
Excellent location, less than 1 minute walk from
Old Town Square & 5 mins walk to Charles Bridge. Less than 30 min by taxi from airport. Fantastic service, Josef the concierge was brilliant & very entertaining. Rooms were very comfortable, well equipped & peaceful. Certainly not the cheapest hotel but overall great value considering the quality of hotel, central location & excellent service.
Location is perfect - less than 5 minutes walk to Old Town square. Plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes nearby which was a plus “. Tram and metro stations located very closely to the hotel and everywhere was in walking distance. Exceptional service from staff and rooms were warm, cozy and very clean. Great value for money - I would definitely stay here again when I come back!
Great value for money, very clean and looks good, the stuff helped us before and during our trip with all our concerns, nice and comfortable room and bed and good location. We walked from the hotel every single morning to our destination and didn’t need any public transport to get to old town square or Charles bridge. We loved the location a lot!!!
The hotel was beautiful inside. Clean, comfortable and with an amazing view! It is close to the Charles Bridge and right at the bottom of the path to the Castle and Cathedral. I usually stay in the old town square but this was quieter and just as convenient. There is also a shop in the lobby and the receptionist was very helpful.
The Josephine Old Town Square Hotel is middle of the price range in Prague’s old town. The hotel staff, especially Iana was very polite and efficient. The hotel itself is very central, clean, and attractive. The extras in the room including a bottle of red wine, as well as tea and coffee making facilities are great!
The location of this hotel fantastic, right in old town square. Because the hotel is small the staff know all the guests so they keep out people trying to use the facilities, therefore it’s relatively quiet even though it’s one of the busiest parts of Prague.
Very good location on the edge of the old city very close to old town square but far enough away not to be too noisy. The hotel is a very beautiful art deco style building from the early 20th century. Breakfast was a very good mix in a very nice setting.
The old metropolitan hotel was cozy and comfortable. Their staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The breakfast is great with lots of options. The hotel is also very close tot he Charles bridge and old town square!
Great place, you will reach old town square in two minutes on foot. Hotel is in historical building, nice, compact, with everything you need. Room was spacious, Italian style. Breakfast was good for the start of the day. Staff was very friendly.
Location was excellent right off of the Old Town square, yet Hotel Dar is tucked away on a quaint side street. We dined at the hotel restaurant and excellent breakfasts each morning. We also loved the rooftop terrace!
The hotel has a fantastic location, only a 10 minute walk to the Old Town Square. The staff were lovely and the breakfast very good. Our room was nice and quiet at night.
