20-30 minute drive from the Lake District and close to Scotland. We are so Glad that we Booked their place. They are a Warm and lovely Couple that made us feel so welcomed. Their place is Spacious, well decorated, comfortable, cosy, clean and private, with private entrance and parking as well. The White House is well located in a small village, right in front of a lovely chapel. We took their recommendation to eat at a place nearby (3 - 5 min drive) called 'Treat Point' and we had a delicious dinner meal made by a lovely and friendly owner. We had a beautiful stay, highly recommend The White House and would stay again.

The location is good and only a few miles walk to the town centre. Parking is nearby and free between 6pm and 8am then you can pay at a machine or on a parking app. There is no parking in front of the apartment and double yellow lines so we just parked on the pavement and unloaded our luggage there. It was fine. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. There is a small "Spar" supermarket about a 3 minute walk away and the large Sainsburys supermarket is a nice 7-10 minute walk through the town centre. We stayed here for 2 seperate nights.

Absolutely everything! Our host was super friendly, we felt right at home from the moment we arrived! The decor was absolutely stunning and the room smelt so amazing! Hot tub was perfect and even better that we could get Uber eats delivered right to the hot tub, great location for the best of both worlds, will definitely be returning next year!
