Our host Jane was wonderful and messaged throughout our stay, making sure we were all settled and comfortable. We were even able to have a later checkout at no extra cost- which was much appreciated with the pouring rain! The location was fabulous, with stunning views across (photos do not do it justice) the bay and a lovely coastal walk to beautiful secluded beaches ( Coastal Path). The accommodation sits in an elevated position, which was not a problem for us, but maybe for someone with mobility issues ( this is stated). The bedrooms were all of perfect size and easily fit 2 families or group size of 8 and the added bonus of 2 lounges was perfect. The main lounge has a fire that we made use of and is great for warming the soul on winter nights. The hive heating also kept us nice and warm. We have already booked another stay for next year!

Great restaurant's to take your pick from. A really lovely pub (The Australia) highly recommend and the Snowdonia national park on your doorstep . you can also take advantage of the main line train to do large sections of the Wales coastal path getting off and walking a section and on again at different stations, Note, please tell the conductor witch station you want to get off at as the train doesn't stop automatically at all stations.
Welsh coastal path is stunning in and around porthmadog well worth walking.

We primarily chose this hotel so that we could spend time in Port Meirion village.
We did go into Porthmadog and took a ride on the steam train. There are shops and cafes in Porthmadog but we dis not visit them.

Porthmadog is the perfect place to stay when visiting Portmerion, or if walking and exploring the area. It does have a pretty harbour/marina. There are plenty of choices for eating out. Plus the heritage railway is a short walk.

Beautiful town and surrounded by lots to do and good amenities . We travelled to Ffestiniog to get train to llandudno, which was a lovely journey and a 1/ 5 of price of heritage train trips. We will definitely be going back to stay again..
Great location next to train station as I went by train from Carnoustie in Scotland to Porthmadog ( handy for various outings in North Wales). Fantastic price. Friendly owner. Lucky that no-one was in the room which I would have shared the bathroom with but owner has plans to make all rooms en-suite). Owner is trying very hard to upgrade the property in difficult times but I had a great time. I had never been to Wales before and was travelling on my own as a 50+ lady. I found the Welsh people very friendly and had a great time.
Breakfast was included and was excellent during our stay - no problems. We ate at the hotel every evening and the food available was always to a high standard and very tasty - the only downside was that the main menu wasn't available every day and we didn't find out until we turned up for our evening booking. We stayed in one of the lodges, which was fantastic. Absolutely loved the location :) and the staff were very attentive and helpful.
The walk in shower - like a cave! It was beautiful and an amazing experience! The colours of the decor was lovely and it all matched well. The apartment had everything you needed for a comfortable stay! Location was ideal for travelling around North Wales! Parking was always available somewhere on the street but never directly outside. Would certainly recommend to others and return at some point. Diolch yn fawr
I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a double bedroom instead of a single one. My room was very cute & quiet.
Area might get busier and louder at times, I was there on a weekday in November.
The staff was very nice.
I had breakfast the next morning, it was one of the best full English I had!!
Restaurant is very well decorated.
Great location to explore North Wales.
Would definitely come back.
Me and my partner stayed here for our honeymoon as we were climbing Snowdon, it was an absolutely lovely stay, the hotel is in such a nice and quiet area and it's surroundings are just beautiful. The staff are all so nice and friendly. Breakfast is lovely. And the Spa bath was definitely welcoming after we got back from mountain climbing!
The staff were so helpful .The rooms were clean, excellent shower. The restaurant and had a nice ambiance.and the staff were faultless.Good good from the restaurant and a lovely tasty full Welsh breakfast.Good location for all the amenities of Porthmadog. I look forward to staying again in the future.
Gorgeous holiday flat with plenty of room. Bright and airy. Super comfortable and in a great location for exploring Porthmadog and the surrounding area. It was perfect for our family of adults. The parking space was very useful. Communication with our host was prompt and helpful.
The holiday park is set in a beautiful location. We absolutely loved the restaurant and if we returned we would probably book the hotel or a caravan that is not in the Woodside view area.
Overall a good experience.
Brilliant location. Short walk into Porthmadog and Aldi across the road, but also on a circular walking route (although I only realised when I came out near the property half way round!). Comfortable and clean.
Hotel was really well decorated in main areas - bar/lounge & restaurant. Staff were really friendly & helpful & free car parking was a real bonus. Breakfast & evening meal were really good.
Very helpful staff and great restaurant serving excellent food. Excellent location for the old harbour in Porthmadog and for exploring the area between Harlech and Criccieth.
location … very unusual …Portmeirion is a very special place in a beautiful location. The staff were very accommodating and personable and professional.
We loved how cleaned the caravan was, having all everyday essentials at hand. Lovely area made use of all amenities. Would definitely like to stay again.
